Troublesome misty Soft coating
Long lasted rainfall stopped this morning inviting morning glow. Weather forecast tells that rainfall comes again afternoon and continues middle of the night. And rain stop would be postponed till next Tuesday. The ceremony of visiting ancestor's grave would be performed next week.
Konica Zoom-Hexanon AR 70~150/f4 was disassembled to clean up lens surfaces, but failed as a matter of fact. Misty condition was observed on the back surface of zoom moving module and the coating character was "SOFT" untouchable. Exactly the same situation was experienced when I did on MC rokkor 135mm/3.5, the back surface of the most frontal glass was processed with soft coating technology. Though its original optical performance would be lost, the result would be obtained after reassembling, probably internal reflection especially in back light condition. Judging from the construction design, this Hexanon zoom lens must be proved by OEM, probably Tokina manufacturing. The influence by loosing one of the soft coating would be reported later.
