Focusing depth

Depth of focusing differs on the image angle of the lens promptly as shown in the photo. The wider the image angle the lens is designed, the deeper the focusing depth becomes at the same iris closing condition. For example, the depth on Super Elmar 15/3,5 when the iris position is set at 8, focusing depth would be established between infinity and 0,5m. So, focusing procedure is not always required in ordinal photography if the iris and focusing ring were set as an usual manner. On the other hand, on Macro Nikkor 105/4, the depth would be done between infinity and tens of meters in the same condition. Then, how about standard Leica Summilux 50/1,4? The depth would be infinity and 5m. This is why Leica Super Elmar 15/3,5 could be utilized even on Leica M9 without focus coupling connection in view finder, just imagination of view angle and comprehensive composition. Of course the purpose of imaging might requires much more accurate focusing in proximity.

Continue maintenance

Residual #1 working chair was serviced yesterday, it was mainly maintained on water distributing hose replacement including main water pressure controlling diaphragm valve. Cup water supply connection was clogged and separated at hose connecting nipple portion as usual.
Though these kind of maintenance should be performed much more earlier stage after the movement to the new place, it was postponed till yesterday because of my own neglect.
Anyway, our new laboratory has settled and been ready to go with perfect circumstance.

As for 30 years old Takara working chair, #1 preset back seat lay downing performance does not work, #2 does well, no mechanical relay switching is discerned by preset switching action. Switching module were disassembled to check especially on capacitor breakage and all the former generation IC chips were removed from their socket and set as they were. Unfortunately, the result was not favorable, no change of phenomena was observed, in spite of some confidence for recovering. As the circuitry cut is predictable, specific rheostat, 10k ohm B curve rheostat might have been lost the contact inside, so replacement of this mechanical part is an initial attempt.
In case of a negative result, I have to ask to the manufacturer for the electric connection design, they must open it because of 30 years old designing, no secret information to be hidden is not contained. 

Desperate efforts

All the water pressure control diaphragm valves and water tubes were replaced last night except #1 working chair, in spite of finger aches on both sides, I made desperate efforts.
Remembering the time of starting our new laboratory, one of my relative who is in Morita Factory in KYOTO exerted himself alone on setting 4 working chairs. It's is not a difficult task to imagine his ultimate labor, probably he must have exhausted at that work. He had many experience on the work as a professional, generally one chair is treated by one engineer taking one day, but he did 4 by his own efforts! Now I have realized again, he did best than best!

Remembering his great tasks at that time, I have to do the work anyway, replacing parts for # chair without any selfish complaint.

Maintenances

Loosening and re-tightening of frontal hub center locking nut diminished the strange noise while low speed turning phase, this procedure was performed by a TOYOTA dealer engineer the day before yesterday after actual checking by himself. His attempt was exactly to the point, the noise disappeared completely at that time, but still remains a bit on the right side, this affair noticed me of the importance of bolt nut tightening process should be done with inviting definite concentrations, not to strain the parts, even distribution of torque on the tightening surfaces are essential at all.
Basically, the fact the tightening way affects on the distortion of hub might mean the distortion of hub itself, as a final measures for this problem, replacement of hub with hub bearing might be one of the way to be chosen.

My own curiosity is now toward the repairing of working chairs in my laboratory, so off time this afternoon would be spent no the purpose, not on automobiles.
Water tube wiring would be replaced after over 20 years use before some miserable trouble might be happened. Tubes in different color and connecting parts are all prepared.
Also, TAKARA chair shows some malfunction of preset electric switching system, #1 preset lay-down does not work, check it!

My treasure

Not a few camera devices have prepared for survive myself as a amateur photographer as before. Especially, the preparation of Digital and original Leica image area 36 by 24  with Leica M9 accelerated my will on earth.
I have found out many Leitz lenses in my camera jank box, Telyt 280/4, Telyt 200/4, Elmar 135/3,5, Hektor 135/4, Hektor 125/2,5 etc. So, I can enjoy in any way with these marvelous treasure.
Of course these equipment had been obtained by some friendly considerations by the representative of former Leitz dealer in OSAKA Shinsaibashi "Sun S" Leica shop, Miss, Yoshiko Hirano who had been called as Leica in OSAKA. She sold only Leica with no other bland, she did it with success, this is why she was called as the name.
I'm looking forward to doing it in future.

R-M adapter

At last I obtained Leica R-Leica M adapter last night at Yodobashi Camera situated in Umeda OSAKA costing 13,000 yen. Of course I know it's stupid to pay a plenty of money only for trifle adapter, but I regarded it worth paying this time.
Expensive wide angle lens, Leitz Super Elmar-R 15/3,5 has been at my hand by chance for a long time period of time without contributing to my work because of too much wider angle and it designing heavy weight in spite of expensive price, 850,000 yen.
Thank to this R-M adapter, I can make any pictures as originally designed Leica-R lenses on 36 by 24 full size digita format. But, some problem occurs on focusing procedure in case of tele-photo lenses like Apo-Summicron 180/2 and Apo-Telyt 280/2,8, because I don't have the way to certain the condition of focusing, the most important step for any photography!
At first I intended to produce focusing adapter only for the purpose with focusing mat that is almost the same as that equipped in any SLR camera body, it did not take time for me to come to an approval for conclusion of this problem.
Canon EOS Kiss Analogue body has been thrown away for a long time without any mechanical failures, yes, I should make use of this toy like tiny camera body only for the focusing purpose! Of course I know that several ceremonies like procedure would  be waiting before obtaining a transparency, body exchanging steps before triggering the shutter of Leica M9 for the final step, I had been doing that when I was in work on 4 by 5 inches large format professional camera. Remember here that no laziness is allowed if the excellent transparency is desired, this principle would not be changed even in Digital age period of time. Just only purchasing new Canon 5D Mark3 would solve all the problem above, but with the payment of 350,000 yen more?

As for being asked to write something for new book publishing by my fried, it has finished last night and the residual task is only seeking and finding out some transparencies once used for my old posting, though the copyright of them is another publishing company, recent digital image processing and the long interval since publishing over tens years ago, any dispute over the copyright would not occur in future? It fully depends on the skill of new publisher this time, do that well, please!         

Change

The request to supervise a newly publishing specialized book woke me up some part of my brain and also reminded me of my good days over 25 years ago as a researcher in the department of Prothodontics.
Just correcting sentence and wording is relatively a easy task for me, but putting adequate pictures on them is not so much, because I have to look for and seek around them checking my analogue archive vault in my villa. Coming Thursday would be spent for this purpose at any rate. I have realized that this kind of unusual task makes my daily life different somewhat.

Also transparencies stored have to be changed into digital datum by myself using special device, Nikon Slide Copier system, modifying bayonet mount from Nikon F to Canon Eos. I wanna utilize Minolta MD Macro Rokkor 50/3,5 for this purpose if possible, complicated modifying procedure must be waiting for me. In my expect, the method to obtain some digital datum from transparencies, the direct photography must exceed in the picture quality to using film scanner? Comparison of the two methods on LCD would prove the truth.

The Auto-rotation emergency landing technology for rotating wing plane by Ospray is discussed these days among medias.
Only the discussing on the desk by the person who does not know what it is. The technique is only for the expert of single rotating wing plane pilot tried on only one chance when the landing space is obtained supported by luck.

The treatment should not be regarded as an easy way to earn money.
Any lost inconvenient group with different perception on the basic stance soon disappears by a natural selection law. 

Tube connector

I just remembered the fact that the water tube connection in #1 working chair had been changed into different way from the originally design, bypassing warmer heater system for emergency measure few years ago. This is why only #1 chair has some stronger water supply for a cup water, reduction of conduit resistance was the reason. All the working chairs had filtering device for water flow in addition that of compressed air, but the systems were removed because of inconvenience, unpredictable filter case fracture on the way of clinical working.
Consequently, all the machinery have to be checked and the treatments of emergency evacuations should be corrected into normal operating condition.
Urethane tube 6-4 in different colors and one touch connectors shown in the picture are prepared as replacement parts. 

Water hose & valve

Partial swelling on rubber material obliged me to replace all the tube connection, otherwise water piling would occur in very near future while working on the job. Over 20 years use of this kind of machinery often invites chronic fixation by rust and foreign matter and the phenomenon cannot be avoidable more or less for any moving machinery. So, periodical checking and continuous maintenance are essential if comfortable working circumstance is desired by the users. Actually, the engineer trained for the purpose is prepared by the manufacturer, just visiting fee is fixed as a basic price.
As I had determined that all machinery that I have should be maintained by my own efforts and sweats, almost of my off time is fully occupied by maintenance work in addition that my allowance is used for the repair parts purchasing price. So, I'm always busy for making plan for countermeasures.

Lens performance

Three old lenses were tested on Canon 10D Digital body in the condition of close up under day-lighting, Leitz ELMAR 50/3,5, GN Nikkor 45/2,8 and MINOLTA MD Rokkor Macro 50/3,5, with the subject of Morning Glory. All of the lenses were well designed to obtain a good picture promptly as a conclusion and the modified Elmar 50/3,5 had some advantage in convenience, originally sinkable barrel designing had some priority in case of close up to 1/3 magnification, in ordinal use from 1m to infinity barrel is set at the most posterior position. So, an ancient manufactured small triplet with single coating lens is the most useful one as a pancake lens, probably the degree of protrusion of barrel with 17mm from the lens flange should be the least in the world trying also overlooking and comparing another recent productions. The convenience of portability that SLR(Single Lens with Reflector) body has some tendency to lose,  would compensate the disadvantage in bulk.

The lowest picture taken by Lumix DMFC-FX60 compact one as a control provides good enough resolution as a recording purpose, but I cannot prohibit to say that there exists apparent differences in picture quality if compared with single focus length lenses in spite of the age difference between the designing, the picturesque like with pasting method. Of course, zooming lens  designing and the difference of imaging area might be some good reason for the unignorable phenomena.

Basically, I don't want destroy any old art like this Elmar 50mm standard lens produced over a half century ago, but it has a miserable story to have been dropped down with some L-body by accident, not myself but some geriatric friend and once thrown away to a trash and I had picked up the poor one for long time of period with front flange distorted miserably. I happened to come up with imagination to survive it in this digital photography generation by modifying the mounting construction, I wanna say like this if the excuse is allowed.
As a matter of fact, this Elmar 50mm lens survived now like a phoenix now!

Repair status

It took me all day long to maintain only one working chair #4, replacing diaphragm water pressure control valve, solenoid valve cleaning and vase connecting flange cleaning. Over 20 years of use caused clogged phenomena everywhere in the construction. Today, another 3 machinery would be serviced with the same manners.

Continuous lighting ON of charging warning lamp soon after starting in VW 1302 Super Beetle made me anxious for a moment, but the same experience last year reassured me enough. Some oxide film on the blushes and commutator caused conduction failure for more than 1 week unused period, so a few meter driving recovered conduction and the lamp put off safe, no problem in DC generator could not be happened. This vehicle, fully controllable, serviceable and repairable by myself would last me till I go in future.

Jet lag caused by traveling to Hawaii has caused me about 1 hour earlier error of my own body clock even 48 hours later.

Maintenance day

All the working chairs would be maintained today especially on water gallery inside with replacing water pressure control valves promptly. Calcium hypochlorite crystal has been formed in narrow pin like ways in the machinery for long period of time. Re-acquisition of the water ways are indispensable for normal operation of the machinery as designed. Clogged pin holes would be treated by some adequate fine files  for our profession, because the diameter of the orifice is very important for pressure controlling valve.

Come back home safe

I've come home safe this afternoon from Honolulu aging one day more, because I did it passing through International Date Line to the Western direction. Not a little information was obtained by visiting USS Arizona memorial park.
Though I tried to log-in from Oahu Island, doing from different place required some effort to pass through an additional security guard, telephone number was obliged to set. And the different way from different place in the world logging-in was warned by Google.

Journey

I'm going to visit the historic place Peal Harbor, that was the location of the outbreak of Pacific War, the shock tactics deceptive attack was dared on December, 8th, 1941 by the Naval Force of Emperor Japan. I should watch and inspect the place by my naked eyes before I go, so I determined.
My description would be interrupted for a while next week.

Silk

A picture shows specially hand manufactured silk clothes tinted with colors specially extract from some natural resources, the procedure was performed by a famous engineer with methods of ancient technology who has a longer tradition of Yoshioka Dojo(Japanese Fencing training school).
Though I suggest her not to disturb him by visiting his workshop so often, because he is busy working on reproducing national treasures, she turns a deaf ear to me and has been allowed to take these jewel-like marvelous clothes without any hesitation? As my opinion, such kind of talented engineer has a tendency to be sensitive some time and difficulty to getting along with another persons well.
This is why I suggested her to be refrain from visiting his workshop like a excursions or going on a pleasure jaunt.

Unpleasants

Critical damage was found in NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz, side bearings supporting differential gear in the trans-axle, the motor and the trans-axle must be removed together if bearing replacement was desired requiring considerable expense. The mechanical element like supporting bearing that is located deep within the machinery needs desperate efforts to be replace. I do feel the time is come to be deserted now, though it's is too good to throw away.

Writing about the damage, BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model has also a critical problem not to be ignored, Multi Plate Transfer to rear axle. The oil pressure controlled valve doesn't work well with some sense of tension. In order to repair this unpleasant phenomena causing mechanical failure, removing propeller shaft and rear partial transfer case disassembling procedure must be done, relatively heavy task for me.
Do I desert this together, because I make it a rule to throw away an automobile if the motor or the trans-axle might be destroyed.

I must show my own policy to my son by reducing the number of automobile that I'm keeping, so obliged by some person, 4 automobile for one driver is nothing but illogical, because single driver can do that only one. I'm allowed to do 2 at the most. Suppose, my situation now is just like that of limited military force before the WW2 in League of Nations.

All the broadcasting this morning does on "Tease and Suicide", actually a Mafia Society in the kiddy junior high school. The criminal student has ran away to another school and his family did the same.
The perpetrator kid would not be punished according to Penal Code because of younger age. Unstable social situation and dishonest politics might reflect this kind of affair?

US Army Bomber type 29 "Enola Gay" threw Ulanium Bomb named "Little Boy" onto Central Hiroshima City on 5th, August, 1941 and the same type bomber plane named "Box Car" did Plutonium one with the name of  "Fat Man" on to Nagasaki City on 7th, August, 1941 promptly. So long Occupied Japan has been in a sincere servant position of her both politically and economically after the WW2. Naturally, No opinion is also discerned by another nations at the congress of the United Nations, because our opinion dictated there should be exactly the same as that of the mother country.
Steering of our country in future is just like taking care with desperate concentration not to be sunk by big pulling waves caused by the reliable mother ship, don't you think?

Living things

A small ball covered with moss has some ecosystem inside, as a proof, dust powder is scattered around every morning, earthworm and insect larvae must be inside in the daytime, coming across with baby mantis in the entrance. Young tree that bears fruit gummy is the figurines called "Ball moss" that was brought by our intimate customer.
But, a small mantis threw away few minutes ago has disappeared?  A few sparrows were flying around, did I do anything wrong?
The affair happened yesterday, bumping of head of the bad customers with bad relationships on bad terms. I feel it had been good as a matter of fact in few months, because they would realize their own situations promptly by chance?

Laziness

How shall I treat a dull fish asking me some unnecessary expenses in exchange of his coming back to OSAKA and working together with me? Shameless his demand so much as it is, there is some person to accept unreasonable and illogical requests by my son? The reason why I reject them is not based on the financial problem but on a common sense of the origin of society. How shall I teach him, who has a tendency to turn a deaf ear to me?
Any machinery reduces it's value once it was sold considerably, especially an automobile does a half price if it is registered with plate legally. So, second handed machinery is the cheapest way to start his business, in addition, he can get it for free of charge as a father's second handed one! All of the machinery have been well maintained with periodical servicing with genuine parts. He has enough capability to deal with any failures on the machinery by his own skill.
What will happen if we give the Rolls-Royce to a layman young driver licensed not so long after acquisition?
As for my opinion, too much financial support based on selfish and unreasonable desire would make him spoiled now, though some person says he will go inconvenient direction if he left alone without parent's warm assistance.
He should start or he can start in this condition as it is now and he can do anything he will want after obtaining enough confidence to expect more profit on track. Am I wrong?
Future bank borrowing should be done by his own liabilities, no?
This fact of the debt would keep him a distance from his habitual laziness?    

Nagging

My son is fascinated by beautiful pictures in the catalog of newly designed(appearance only) machinery in our field and insists to introduce to our laboratory, in spite of good circumstance that all the machines are well serviced and no inconvenience exist to practice at all.
Our works are not based on any emotions nor feeling, but on actual practice?
How much can he do? What kind of high transactions does he do on the machinery?
I wanna suggest him to start his business here with the equipment as it is and he change them as likes in the conditions of his own bank borrowing when he sees the signs livable in future.
Remember here, all the equipment in our laboratory are kept in best conditions with periodical maintenance by myself and no necessity is observed to be replaced at all.
Young men have some tendency to be cheated by susceptible manufacturer's strategy in any field? 

Serviced all day long

Today I had made up my mind to disassemble the front knuckles on NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz in order to replace hub bearings that have been making strange noise for a while. In spite of an anxiety of difficulty on removing inner half lace clogged on hub, layman's assistance cleared the hurdle. Finding out in fault hub bearing lubricant, silicon grease, had dried loosing it's capability. Replacing strut upper mounts on both side was performed at the same time together. Special dust sealing thin plastic sheet was applied in addition to the original sponge material. Invasion by dust and sand would be prevented  to come from lower surface of opened strut bearing.
As the result, strange noise disappeared thoroughly and the stiffness and astringency on steering reaction have increased like a new automobile. Final precise wheel alignment adjust procedures would have postponed till coming Thursday.
Nakayama Sakura Hill Park commands a nice view of OSAKA Plane with OSAKA Itami Airport at the central position, so I make it a rule to come so often to listen to the voice of the nightingale for relief myself on the way of heavy works.

WPC valve

Water supply system in the working chair is dangerous if the measures are not enough, this information was brought by my relative engineer belongs to the company. So I have made up my mind to replace the water pressure control valve in #4 working chair today. Water over-flow in the working place must cause miserable scenery? Let's make haste!
All the replacement parts are prepared already from the beginning, only my lazy temperament has been preventing me from the measure!

Works

I had received the information from my graduate University asking me to supervise some book prior to the launching. Starting point in the state as it is, I would like to help my friend in the department.
This kind of work remind me of my good days specialized in some department as a researcher.
As mentioned before, arranged MD Rokkor 50/3,5 Macro lens to adopt on Canon EOS Digital body would play a great part of works from now, several transparencies have to be prepared for the purposes.
I'll busy occupied by this work till the end of this month.

As I have ordered strut upper mount in addition to front hub bearings, replacement of the parts would be performed at the same time when frontal axle would be disassembled. As the picture shows, the rubber parts is distorted causing upper terminal point displacement, some critical error must be invited in geometric construction in combination with wheel alignment. Over ten years of depressed stress by body weight and driver's one also, permanent distortions on strut upper mount is observed especially on the right side. According to my experiences, important parts here affect not only on steering response but also on compliance leading to good ride. This is why the strut upper mount parts were ordered together with hub bearings.

I had some warning information last night by our accountant that too much works would oblige me to be anxious about tax measures. Strange tax system in our country makes me bother unnecessary anxiety.

Parts replacement

Incredibly quick transaction like sparkling by the automobile parts supplier and TOYOTA parts distribution network, the parts ordered at noon arrived in the evening on the same day, in spite of relatively rare order unusually for NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz.
Inner race of front hub bearing is separated at the axial center as imagined, so a half part of inner race would be remained if hub is removed from knuckle hub case.
I would bring all of hub case and hub together to the dealer for suitable oil press machine, of course disassembling of frontal axle would be done by myself and reconstruction, wheel alignment setting also done as following procedures. Probably, preparation would be done on coming Saturday and Sunday, bearing removal and insertion would be on coming Thursday. Frontal struts would be disassembled in parts because of upper mount parts replacement.

Emergency car

Emergency cars came just in front of my laboratory with noisy warning signal activated, because electric power supply suddenly stopped just at noon punctually. I thought the supply cutting planning has started because of lack of capacity depending on Nuclear plant inhibited. But the reason was a miserable crow burned with electric shock. The supply has resumed in 30 minutes, it was due to desperate efforts by Kanden's engineers. Their measure and transaction were so quick as to satisfy our neighborhood.

Informations

Divorced couple will be restored in very near future, both of them have been good friends to me, she has recovered her chronic disease, "Depress", after her son's coming back to her. And her former husband who left for the sake of another woman also came back to near her home to take good timing to return to her as they had been so. They would fit into the original sheath sooner or later. Their kid would play a important role as a grue.

Today in 1939, Mitsubishi Zoro fighter M6 had succeeded in first flight test with high speed exceeding 500km/h. This result reminds me of some bitter memory, defeated by US Army and Navy over 60 years ago at Pacific Ocean Front.

As for VW 1302 Super Beetle, good steering reaction has obtained after the modification on the rear trailing arm outer bush portion. As the past experiences obtained while servicing EP82 TOYOTA Starlet few years ago, lateral movement prevention has much to do with steering response especially in initial stage.
This principle should be applicable also on Super Beetle though there exist some constructive differences between two models, rigid rear axle and independent designing.
But remember here that too much stiffness of rear trailing arm hinge bush would invite reduction of compliance leading to some sense of thrust. Recent axle beam designing has been introducing loose designing intending good ride utilizing class 1 & 2 lever actions.

Wallowing

Spams obliged me to desert several accounts in mailing, because tremendous number of mischievous garbage e-mails are thrown into min every morning. Low-grade people with no dignity bothering another people who has nothing to do with them, everywhere in the world exists! No wasting time to be partner with them I have. I have much to be done before I go, little time is left for me! I have no room to have meaningless connections with others, I'm so busy only for my own works that should be done before I go.

I happened to coming across with a specific blog probably written by some researcher that I know in Biochemical field, he wrote back to me in the web site as a firs transaction, I'm pretending like quite a stranger for him, let's see what he answers from now?

As for my son, he is in a sea of Self-Desire & Goods as usual smiling on catalogs, probably his brain must be in special dreamy paradise being immersed and soaked. When do you wake up!?
