RMC Tokina 400mm/5.6

RMC Tokina 400mm/5.6 Telephoto lens arrived at may hand from Hokkaido taking 2 days after successful bid in Yahoo Auction at 300 yen. Just lens surface cleaning of rear lens module acquired mint condition, completely no defect anywhere at all, moving parts are so smooth and test shooting proved its superb performance. Relatively heavier weight of this lens might be a reason to be hated unconsciously by the former owner. But remember here that some weight balance is required in the use of outfield especially because of sudden strong wind blow, the heavier the equipment is the more stable condition could be obtained, this is an unmovable Physical principle. No good result is desired if the photographer insists on lighter equipment weight. In case of longer designed telephoto lens, weight support mechanism is a good idea like metal base plate. The purpose of this device is avoiding the distortion of bayonet flange spring and lower side down phenomena caused by backlashes in moving parts including helicoid construction. Correction of centre light axis is effective to maintain picture quality. This kind of trifle countermeasure for actual use of long barreled lens is common sense without mentioning among professionals, life or death, money or nothing. A famous professional photographer never goes out for photo shooting without carrying a stout and heavy tripod always with her, Miss. Michiko Yone is her name! Whenever I go out with heavy equipment, I remember her and say to myself, even a weak and delicate female does like this, and the tripod is the same as rifle for the soldier.
