Hand holding 300 mm telephoto lens available?

Actual camera shake test putting 300mm telephoto lens on SONY α 9 proved almost perfect by comparing hand holding and tripod fixed condition, pixel peeping done on LCD was performed. Superb Linhof Tripod in MINT condition that probably costs over 50,000 yen is sold at 1,000 yen, how come? Experimental trial for camera shake done this morning solved this problem fairly. Though I imagined the priority that the mechanical stability by tripod must exceed any recent sophisticated inventions was betrayed at all. In addition, most of the adequate shooting places inhibit tripod use including monopod, even self shooting tiny holder for smart phone is not allowed, how come? Nara Park Kasuga-taisha Mannyo Botanical Garden that I visited the other day had the similar regulation as above. One of our photo group had his tripod stolen in the garden at that time, how come, it was just a show off or mischief?

Nara Mannyo Botanical Garden today

It's the first day after long closing for Kasuga Taisha in Nara Park. Some threatening information that Nara City is declaring to perform "State of emergency", obliged me to visit there today. Though the place is famous for Wisteria shelf, expectation exceeded the reality there. Not so bad but not so good. The capacity was a little bit narrower for gathering customers. Insufficient water flow management in the garden was observed. Consequently, I didn't come across with something to open my eyes.

Monochrome shooting

A comparison of gradation between Monochrome shooting and Channel Mixture after colored shooting proved apparent difference. Three shooting spots were chosen yesterday at Kyoto, Umekoji-Park, Kinkaku-Ji and Kitayama Prefectural Botanical Garden. Some indescribable charm and fascination were clearly observed in Monochrome shooting that I had been neglecting for long time. Expression of material texture utilizing two colors, Black and White with the gradation between them, are completely different from colored scenery, it cannot be seen deeply like a bottomless swamp at all. The fascinating Monochrome world will continue catching me tight for the time being. The only superb Leica lens is M-Summilux 50 mm/1.4 second generation designed by Walter Mandlar in Canadian Leitz company.

Photo shooting wandering

The route I took today for photo shooting was like that, Banshu-Kiyomizu-Temple through Tojo-Lake for Azalea at their best blooming and Sasayama Castle Town parking my Beetle at Sasayama-City Kawaramachi parking place. Weather condition was the best not to be desired more than today. Minolta MD Zoom 75~200 /4.5 and Konica Hexanon AR 52/1.8 played enough to satisfy myself utmost.

Toshiba Liquid Crystal TV repaired

Toshiba liquid crystal TV Regza 58Z8X became out of order, hand controller does not work at all resulting no power. After disassembling it, careful investigation found out 2 pieces of chubby Chemical Aluminum capacitors with convexed upper surface, 220 microF 35V. Following usual manner, I replaced them with 220 microF 50V at 60 yen/@ obtained at Nipponbashi Electronics store. Pussing power reset button beside of the LCD, the original performance was regained safe. By the way, as a common sense, consumer electronics must become out of order every 5 to 6 years because of Tax Depreciation and the commercial distribution is activated. In another words, machinery must be destroyed every 5 to 6 years at any rate, this is why any destructive part is intentionally designed somewhere. Keeping to use the same old machinery consistently by repairing DIY is illegal behavior for ordinary common sense, preventing smooth commercial distribution is not allowed.

Muro Takidani iris garden

In spite of out of target I visited Muro Takitani iris garden and my anxiety was to the point, how come. But, natural botanical atmosphere made it possible to produce some photo works there. Konica Zoom Hexanon AR 35-70 played well including macro shooting, color, sharpness and resolution were satisfiable for me.

Kashihara Jingu yesterday

Kashihara Jingu was the Holy Land that I visited yesterday for photo shooting. Getting off at Kashihara Jingu mae and walking through up Norse to Unebi St. on the way back. All the places and equipment were well maintained there as a representing Shintoism at Southern Nara area, Yamato. A clear atmosphere was an indispensable for soul stability, this is why I did there, no alternative exists at all.

Air-cooled VW meeting "Orange Bug" at Kataonami Wakayama

I took part in the Air-cooled VW meeting, Orange Bug at Kataonami Park in Wakayama today. Probably, over 200 old VW came together there. Though the nearest interchange of Hanwa-highway- Road was Wakayama-Minami-Smart interchange, I was obliged to turn back to one prior interchange Wakayama, the meaning of Smart is only ETC is acceptable, no cash treating was done. According to the bitter experience, I took the Wakayama interchange on the way back because of the same reason on the way to. Most of the people there were very friendly and we could come into VW-intimate-friends conversation with pleasure. Mie, Gifu and Hyogo number plates were observed in Type-1, Type-2 and Type-3. Most of the VW there were modified not a little from the original condition, posing for effect might be the reason, I could not find out purely original conditioned Beetle except my vehicle.

Kyoto Kitayama yesterday

I went out to Kyoto Botanical Garden at Kitayama with an intention of seeking the last Cherry Blossom this year and it was good as imagined. The conservatory there was exactly the same as that of Tsurumi Green Garden, Sakuya Konohanakan to the extent it causes illusion. Late blooming Cherry were worth visiting and I was satisfied enough to obtain few shots. Well maintained garden is connected with Kitayama station of Kyoto underground railroad directly with full convenience, just a National Park in the city. 2 hours train ride journey departing my residence takes me with just sitting on a seat is far comfortable if compared with driving a car by myself especially in this case today. Moving on foot to somewhere for some purpose is indispensable for me to keep my healthy body condition no matter how COVID-19 announcement might threaten with worse news every day. Locking up geriatric would be a superior reason for killing aged person than violence attack. State of Emergency ban on going out by the Government resembles the Ethnic Containment Policy 80 years ago done by some distorted Administration in some European country. I'm just afraid of some conflict occurring somewhere on the Earth by the condensed strain caused by the over countermeasure.

Appropriate tripod & lens

In spite of relatively long touring yesterday, 266 km distance, the harvest was very few at all. The information from Web sites about late cherry was not so reliable. The target places were Higasayama Park at Takasago-City and Kurai River Dam at Koto. Actual use of Tripod in windy condition proved that a poor, vulnerable and light one does not work at all, SLIK Master EV 3 for emergency use was barely available in the scenery. Consequently, I dragged out heavy Velbon SX-601 from my storage and prepared it with Leica free ball pan head, I wonder if it is available under SONY A-9 with 200 mm tele lens, once I used it with Leica M3 and Elmarit 135 mm? Though carbon fiber legged tripods are prevailing recently, tripod itself need some adequate weight to endure against wind blowing. The lighter the better for carrying, the stouter the better for fixing on the ground and contrally heavier the better for wind endurance. Then, how shall I choose an ideal Tripod? Minolta MD Zoom 75~200/4.5 was brought together and an inconvenience was observed in actual use, infinity position was not set adequately. Combined single ring for focusing and zooming lacked rotating movement for infinity position at wide angle slided condition. Naturally, over inf. setting was resulted at longest focus position. Relatively huge and heavier as this zoom lens is, takes good transparencies in stead, this is why this one is on the right.

Ninna-Ji Kyoto today

Shooting place was the Central Northern Kyoto, Niwaji. Though I was afraid too late for Cherry Blossom in this season, my anxiety was in vain, yes, the visit timing was to the point. No influence by micro granular sand from Taklimakan Desert was observed, no mist and clear, cloudy but fine today. As it is a weekday today, the traffic conditions including highway was so smooth as not to be frustrated all the way.

Revolution

While feeling a little love separation I gave back a room key throwing down into her mail post the other day. People's feeling changes as time goes on, regardless gender, three month separation by COVID 19 brought tremendous changes even in the rate of hot love. This is the most likely episode in the general public. Remembering a proverb, "Out of sight, out of mind.", I have realized it again now. Also, "Everything keeps changing all the time." in Buddhism "Syogyou mujyo" comes up in my mind. Huge changes in Politics and Economy have been induced if it is invisible, then what will do in Military balance from now, it is firmly connect with the former matters? Everything changes not only in our country but in all over the world.

A best Spring day yesterday

Warmer climates these days as if it is the end of April forced me get out for shooting photos. Fushio Kyuuanji and Sanda were the target to visit for shooting and Towari-Soba lunch. Towari means 100 % Soba powder without any binder. ”Sangaku” was the name of am old Japanese style restaurant, and as for my surprise, they served a very rare meat of Pheasant and Chicken nourished in natural condition, it goes without writing that all were delicious at all. In addition, a few wild hogs were in the cage, so their meat should be available. Along the road and visible mountains were filled with the cherry blossoms in full bloom condition, probably the best timing today for watching them this Spring.
