Kingyo Aquarium in Nara

The Mi-Nara Aquarium Goldfish Museum is located on the 4th floor of a comprehensive facility 700 meters west of Shin-Omiya Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. Located on National Route 369 directly across from JW Marriott Hotel Nara, next to Nara City Hall, a walk from the Shin-Omiya station might invite some sweat a bit. City bus ride might be helpful. The facility doesn't open until 10:00, and the escalators don't work either. The museum is also well maintained. Well maintained. You can fully enjoy about 2 hours. Dining facilities available. Recommended for families, couples and senior citizens.

There is a photo spot inside, but bare in mind that the use of both tripods and monopods is prohibited.

'70 World Exhibition memorial park at Suita Senri Osaka JP

Konica Auto S16 old camera

Old silver salt film period camera, "Konica auto S16" was obtained in Yahoo Auction at 30 yen only, so successfully entrusting my wishes.

Though the seller showed stuck and dirty clouded lens filter in the pic, I hoped the lens condition must not be in bad condition, and I found it fascinating after removing clogged filter. 

Hexanon 45mm/f1.6, 5 groups-7 elements lens has enough physical performances even on digital full flame sensor, it's unbelievable if it had been produced over 50 years ago.

I had modified 2 pieces of this marvelous lens already, S16 original iris adjustment and rotating helicoid is utilized and allows 280mm close-up shooting as a matter of fact.

No click stop iris ring rotating construction makes it relatively easy to Bokeh control. Avoiding falling down of lens element from the rotating helicoid case, some mechanical stopper must be formed inside of the lens case, 1.70mm screw and locking nat will be available.

The pics obtained by this lens will prove that the performance will not be second to none of recently designed standard focus length competitors. 

Recent happenings

And I found it killed flat on the road this morning, it was a Cicada I had picked out from the ground in my garden and I'd put it on a tree branch last night. I felt so sad to see that, probably it was run over by some vehicle. I hope this male cicada has already completed the gene transfer, because it lived underground for several years and appeared outside for few days only for the purpose. It's too pity to see the result if it is not.

I visited a few days ago in the hottest weather condition, Kaiyu-Kan that the most famous aquarium existing at Osaka-bay founded in 1990 with 29,000 living things.

Because of air-conditioned atmosphere, the place was convenient for people who want to avoid biggest heat, especially for families with infant. It suitable for killing half a day.
