Auffully fine today

Rainy Front comes down from our mainland today and it cleared up in the morning with low humidity, refreshing, comfortable and brilliant day. All the plants in my garden are vivid with energy fully supplied with aqua requirement.
Radio report says that our loss caused by COVID-19 in our country is over 3 trillion yen, how come!?
I'm going to visit a gallery for my favorite artist in Higashinada Sumiyoshi this afternoon.

Flowers are at their best now

Flowers in my garden are at their best now, 6 times close-up shooting makes us recognize what is invisible with naked eye. Best time goes by so quickly like our lives and the hottest season will start immediately after the end of this month.

Northwestern Kyoto yesterday

It's a matter for regret that I lost Lotus shooting photos yesterday. Houkongo-in was closed firmly because of the recent affair. I should check the opening condition prior to my visiting, I never doubted that it is closed even now. So, the Lotus pic yesterday is only one found in Myosinji-temple situated Northern from Houkongo-in. Relatively large scaled temple supplied me not a few shooting object. Moving to the East after that for Kitanotemmangu, I got several shoots there satisfactorily. The weapon I brought yesterday were Zoom Hexanon 35~70 and Hexanon 200 mm/4, both of them played well a part of my combat on Sony Alpha 7-Ⅲ. Especially, some inferior performance of Zoom lens, resolution and sharpness is almost compensated by means of Software, so this lightest Standard Zoom lens is worth inviting as a main weapon for ordinary use. Now fixed focus length lens has less advantage, so I feel. Though it was very troublesome for me to change camera shake setting depending of the focus length set on the body, Tripod-less shooting with telephoto lens was firmly carried out, it's like a dream for me at all. I really appreciate to the engineers contributed on this field.

Mastering 200 mm/4 tele-photo lens

Preparing for the Lotus shooting tomorrow at Houkongou-in Temple situating Northern west of Kyoto, I took a pic from 4.5 m distance utilizing Hexanon 200 mm/4 Tele-Photo lens obtained from Yahoo Auction at 980 yen. Actual practicing shoot is indispensable, because I do not get accustomed to long focus lens such as 200 mm and the Lotus flower is blooming in the pond keeping a distance. Close-up effect is possible in case of distance if the long focus Tele-Photos lens is invited, it's a common sense at all that would not be changed even in a Digital format period of time. Thank to a specific sophisticated performance, anti-camera shake function, I can neglect to carry a heavy tripod, I must appreciate to the engineer who developed  SONY Alpha 7-Ⅲ. I should visit there early in the morning and come back before the Sun rises up high.

Difficulty in close-up shooting

All the flowers in my garden are at full blooming condition now, so it's the time for best shooting. Every flower that is about to bloom has strong energy to live vigorously. Newly fabricated specific close-up lens is very difficult to handle well, yes, because of very slight and thin focusing depth, however I might my camera set in Machine-gun shooting mode. 6 times enlarging field is just a fantastic and never to be observed around same size. On the other hand, establishing an acceptable picture is hopelessly rare at all.
Exposure value is well set automatically, only a focusing point setting is the clogged problem, over 100 shooting could made this single pic. as a matter of fact.

Survives Nex5 & Hexanon 200mm/4

SONY Nex5 old APS-C camera has been left untouched for relatively long time. Inconvenience in the situation of daylight condition, invisible back monitor was the reason, but it's portability is undeniable, far smaller and lighter than any smartphones. The lack of EVF should be compensated at any rate, isolating the back monitor from external strong light invasion is the way. In addition, watching back monitor directly has good advantage to see focusing condition, better than EVF. A suitable loupe for this purpose was found out the other day, Hakuba's production, not so expensive but no Diopter control.
Relatively easy modification made it possible to carry out the destination, magnifying meniscus lens has put 15 mm backward in order to compensate my own Diopter minus 3.
Bloom starting flower was shot by Nex 5 with Minolta Macro-Rokkor 50/3.5 without specific inconvenience in the daytime use.

Free time makes me bid on some cheap price tag, Hexanon 200/4 lens came to me at 980 yen, appearance perfect but mold was scattered everywhere inside. Disassembling lens elements thoroughly and cleaning all of the surfaces applying black coating on all the element's external edge surfaces, I did full maintenance until obtaining 98% performance capability. Front element is perfect but rear one has weakness only on the rear surface of the most posterior element, small mold removed mark but this defect does not effect on it's resolution.

Light weight zoom lens

Extraordinarily lightweight standard zoom lens was obtained by chance at the lowest price in the Yahoo Auction. The fact that almost of the barrel fuselage is made of Engineering Plastic was recognized after disassembling for maintenance, glass cleaning and grease-up on moving parts including helicoid and zooming mechanism. 233 gr weight is the lightest in the world, so I imagine, even lens holding ring stopper were done by plastic material, this is why this 35~70 zoom lens weighs very little. The weight factor for camera equipment is much to do with the possibility to be bring out for every photo shooting. The more weight, the less opportunity to take out from the house. And the more distance from the standard focus length, the less chance to be used out side. These were written in "The Leica Manual", published more than half a century ago.

Konica AR mount lenses

Thanks to the attentiveness by the sellers in Yahoo Auction, I could have obtained Konica lenses at the lowest prices between 100 yen to 500 yen. It was a quite matter for surprise for me, because acturally functional lenses at the cheapest prices like nothing. 135mm/3.5 was taken out today for shooting photos at "Hase-dera" in Sakurai-City, Nara prefecture. Also 52mm/1.7 was together with me, both of them has nothing bad accompanies no failure. The mounting adapter was arranged prior to the bidding, K&F company K/AR-NEX.
Orange and Red colors were over resolved on SONY A7 image sensor as imagined, but this kind of color distortion could be adjusted on the Application program without suffering. To tell the truth, another Konica lenses had been obtained, 50mm/1.7 and Zoom-Hexanon AR 35~70mm very light weight they have at all. So, I have 4 Konica AR mount lenses in total now. They will be tested very soon.

Special tools for Audi A3 1.4T

Though I do not have clear intention to proceed the maintenance on Audi A3 1.4T aggressively, a spanner mark in the meter cluster oblige me to do oil change if I want or not. 76-74-12 Engine oil filter wrench is at hand, similar with 8PCAX motor's but for Golf 7 GTI. The number of corners are not 12 but 14 for my A3. Consequently I visited a famous tool dealer "Tool Company Straight Toyonaka" today. The store sells necessary tools at reasonable price. For example, Triple quad 14 mm with 1/2 ' sells at 450 yen! Of course I got it without hesitation. Oil filter wrench costed 450 yen also. I guess I would come this shop very often in future.

Suspicious affair

Rainy Front is coming up and it will cover Kansai area this afternoon, rainy but cooler temperature, how come? As for my surprise, my friend informed me of some burglary invasion while he is out. No destruction of  key and locking construction is observed at all. Last time he came back home, he couldn't open the gate because of locking from inside, incredible phenomena happened, and he tried next day to open back door, the front door could be opened as usual, internal locking was released? As the conclusion, someone robber, might be inside and controlled internal door lock from inside, suspicion!.
Anyway he is afraid of an accident to come across with inconvenient person when he comes back, I determined to replace all the locking keys and locking mechanism thoroughly, already the replacing parts are ordered from Web site.
I have experienced key maintenance procedure when I did on my Air-cooled Beetle, so disassembling, removing and setting new ones for house keeping device would be done without specific difficulties, so I hope.

6 times magnification

6 times magnification lens was employed this morning for close up shooting. The lens element was equipped in "Pikkari Konica" produced 50 years ago, Triplet designed without iris construction.
Reverse mounting for the sake of eliminating the Spherical aberration was tried only for the close up shooting purpose. Hexanon 38 mm/2.8 lens is useful except very thin focusing depth. Single pod support was necessary for fixing the focusing position with continuous shooting setting. With all more deeper focusing system, 100 mm macro lens with considerable barrel fuselage extension would be required if the same magnification ratio is employed. Interesting but more difficulty is considered in case of more than same size shooting, completely different world at all.

Let's tighten ourselves!

All the plant in my garden that is about to fully bloom has strong living energy. I failed several shots this morning with Half-hearted enthusiasm, it is  clear that my shooting power was inferior to them.
No matter what we do, let's tighten ourselves and be careful.

Suitable lens for close up

Fine weather this morning is desired also today with no harm by Rainy Front and all the flowers are standing by full bloom at all. I set Leica Macro-Elmarit R 60 mm/2.8 on SONY Alpha 7 in multiple shooting condition because of close up thin focusing depth phenomena at 5.6 ilis position. I have no experience to be disappointed by this marvelous lens for 50 years and don't know any other alternative of this. Brass engraved barrel fuselage makes it weight increase a bit, the well balanced gravity position in actual use prevents camera shake contrary, no complaint at all.

Nara Yamato today

The target for photo shooting today was Nara Yamato, Toshodaiji, Yakushiji and Ishimizu-jingu. Although a week day today, very few visitors were there at three places, it takes time to regain the former activity everywhere. Long driving on a vehicle with thrust discrepancy invites unexplainable fatigue, because it requires consistent concentration to keep straight direction.
European Safety Standard tolerance +- 10 minutes angle value in Thrust Angle is too much, unacceptable for me.

Golf 7 GTI Dealer maintenance

Visited I, two shrines today, Toyonaka Ebisu Shrine and Hattoriten Shrine, next to each other across the small road, situated just along the way from Hankyu Hattori-Tenjin station to Volks Wagen Toyonaka Authorized dealer.

My Golf 7 GTI has been left undone about some important maintenance, because the last periodical legal inspection by the Authority had been done by myself without performing indispensable water and oil liquid replacements, just an inspection only was performed. This is why I brought my GTI to the dealer today.
Though brake test has passed with no pｒoblem, rear disk surfaces on both side are so lough to wear out brake pads relatively soon. Polishing procedure on the surfaces might be necessary, because the residual thickness of the rear pads are around 4 mm, on the other hand front brake pads has enough thickness after 30,000 km use about 10 mm, rough surface invites quick wear, my imagination was to the point. Better polish and replace brake pad into genuine parts, do I do this by myself?

What to desire in modification

My innate nature of being easily tempted by the Satan bid to a cheap selling price Konica EE Matic Deluxe again at 110 yen then I got it as a matter of fact. Well designed Triplet lens Hexanaon 40 mm/ 2.8 is the purpose to do that. I operated the donor in some different way from the last time. Without changing external appearance as less as possible is the slogan this time. Straight helicoid and Iris value indication and focusing distance scale are alive, but the closest focusing point is formed at 630 mm after adjusting focusing ring stopping position at the limited, 910 mm is the original limitation if any adjusting grinding was not performed. On the other hand, former same 40 mm/2.8 Hexanon could attained 280 mm close up shooting on original helicoid construction. Though all the unnecessary parts were thoroughly removed leading to forming a strange weird shape, all the necessary requirements are satisfied at all with 180 gr weight.
A beauty of function should be produced if it is pursued, but this comparison does not appeal the principle here, how come?
Second trial made almost perfect looks except close up capability, but the lack of specific ability would be compensated by applying close up lens additive in front. Another urgent situation may invite close up barrel ring 10 mm depth fabricated DIY utilizing lens cap and body cap.
On the other hand, we often come across the situation where a little more close up is required, Macro lens can easily reply on such necessity with less performance in more ordinary situations. We are confused when starting for shooting tour what to choose, long lasting internal conflict at all.
Anyway, it looks like some original condition without any modification by an end user living over 70 years later.
As am I keeping another ones in original good lens condition, I might proceed into that direction?
