Periodical maintenance on Audi A3 ABA-8PCAX

Though my Audi A3 ABA-8PCAX covered 48,000 km in 12 years interval, inevitable dysfunction appeared at the motor and transaxle support construction, rubber mounting support. Continuous pressure to downing direction because of their weight probably about 200 kg caused some permanent deformation and distortion resulting in bad driving taste, biblation and strange steering reaction. But, steering stability increased because motor and transaxle big mass weight had been bottommed.

Consulting the information about the procedure to countermeasure, 5 pieces of replacement parts were required costing about 36.000 yen.

Youtube shows some failures while replacing lower pendulum bushes. 90mm diameter Dogbone bushes are supported in lower main bar subframe, failures occur at that portions while replacing, irreversible cracks  on the case walls. So, fragile aluminum alloy wall must be handled with best care not to apply unnecessary lateral force while pressing down. Also, special tool is required to do the procedure at 24,000 yen SST.

I have acquired the replacement parts with 5 pieces, but I'm hesitating to proceed, the worst weather condition with the coldest wave, and disassembling lower subframe work with troublesome.

I'll do that at any rate in few days, I had did it several times on another vehicles in the past.
