Electrical failure

Rain stopped this morning at last, having been caused serious damages in Kii Peninsula this time.

The weather condition would be changed by #12 typhoon into Autumn's one.
Some of old automobile I'm keeping has no air conditioning system, it would be convenient if the temp outside get down.

Not a few of computer controlled recent automobile have difficulty to recover as the originally designed performance, so reported in some Web site. Because the lack of definition of the dysfunction would not lead the mechanical and electrical engineer to the destination.
Many of mechanically healthy automobiles are deserted because of impossibility to determine the true cause of the malfunction electrically.

I do hesitate to write like this, even a cheap semiconductor would make a wonderful automobile if the reason of dysfunction could not be defined. As for me such realities cannot be accepted. Many of expensive automobile goes to the scrap yard because of the reason, how come?

On the other hand, fully mechanically controlled old machinery like air-cooled VW I'm keeping, having no black box, relatively easily the problem could be accessed to the point.
This is one of the reason to have some interest in the old mechanically controlled automobile.
