Not so favorable
Pain on my back moved from Pelvis to lower portion of Erector Spinae this morning, I hope this would be a good sign to recover myself soon. But anxiety is the rate of dull but considerable pain does not change from the beginning lust Thursday? Anyway the quicker the better.
The medical expenses up to 36 trillion yen, this number is all-time high, and the 6% of that would be distributed into dental field, the reason of reduction in number once 10% is that the inspection curriculum is not served like medical field just nothing, so because of repeated trials to increase the treating and inspection items far exceed dental ones these 40 years.
Much more researches in the Universities must be done and be establish the way of inspecting geriatric patients to qualify the dental treatments?
As never before I do not start VW AD motor for one week, manual trans-axle and direct propagation of NVH are the potential reasons why my fingers catch the Beetle's ignition key.
An automobile easy to drive is very convenient for injured or ill driver with any dysfunctions. Especially power assisted steering, and a powered window regulator and automatic trans-axle are thankful so much. In order to assume the correct ignition timing on the outer surface of crank pulley in VW 1302 Super Beetle, initial position of BTDC must be marked precisely, because the point is the terminal standard position to rely on for the later adjustment dependent on 175mm diameter pulley.
zero to 11,5mm=7,5 degree/850rpm idling rotation
zero to 46,0mm=30 degree/3,000rpm maximum rotation
The obtained datum on the size of generator bearings.
35-15-11 outer-inner-axial thickness
The capacitance of that on distributor for ignition coil.
0,22-0,33 micro farad

New generation axle designing on NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz is very convenient for my ill Pelvis condition. Frontal lower arm rear compliance bush has enough buffering effect and the rear axle beam construction and deformable hinge bush also absorbs almost of the shock from the rough ground surfaces.
The information from 4 wheel are dilute, so to speak driving in a 3 wheeler automobile.
I have 3 choices which car shall I take, VW Super Beetle, SXE10 TOYOTA Altezza and NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz every morning, without any hesitation I take the key of Vitz subconsciously because of the reason written above.
Almost 5 days have passed since I had fallen into seriously ill like a cripple, but the pain on Pelvis portion by the Lumber hernia has not been reduced enough, very gradually I would recover this ill condition and try to any attempt for the purpose, the reduction of self-body weight is the first, 15kg is on the line of the aim.
Replacement of backup battery CR2032/3V equipped on the PC mother board in working laboratory has recovered it's original and normal performance, I have been obliged to boot set up from BIOS for every morning start up showing C-Mos setting is wrong, remembering the past this procedure is secondary one, how long has this system used since in 1999, default setting shows the basic setting date?

Adjusted Wheel alignment on VW Beetle
Remembering the time when frontal geometry and wheel alignment adjustment on VW 1302 Super Beetle 6 month ago, the Camber value on the right side was positive about 10 minutes and left side was negative 20 minutes. Right side running habit tendency was apparently observed when she had come to me about 1 year ago.
The strut upper mount should be inside and lower arm lateral adjusting cam should be outside for attaining negative camber like left side.
With round file the holding hole were adjusted making slotted holes. This necessary procedure must had been moved the right hub position outside laterally, this geometrical change must have something to do with the minus trust angle formation found last time.
Anyway now the zero thrust angle and about 2mm total toe condition for rear axle is established leading to more natural steering reaction and transitions, with no specific complaint.----Except for my body healthy condition, the lumber hernia caused by Pelvis slipped down.
Though I could not run as before, walking slowly is available and I'm capable to drive a automobile if the trans-axle was automatic one.
Probably I'll recover myself in a week, so I pray!

HONDA Civic Type R?
Sporty automobile so designed as to pass through the ordinal traffic at higher speed, stronger motor, wider tires and harder suspension are the proof.
Why is it necessary to run at higher speed and to pass through another automobiles, he must have mistook to regard the public traffic as a racing circuit.
I do not inhibit him to run at higher speed but allowed in closed circuit only. You may do that under the requirements, a modified racing car of course with out legal license plate and a carrier car must be prepared, it possible.
You are not allowed to disturb any public traffic at all, remember this point.
I'm going to stop his planning to purchase new Civic Euro Type R.
When I look at my son, I wanna help him to make his dream come true if it is irrational perspective, but the choice of myself would differ if the future result is easily imagined, running about in a modified automobile on public traffic scattering inconvenience to others in addition to the increased possibility of a traffic accident.
In case of such situation he would have some life-threatening danger?

Finally we didn't find out the way to make my son understood not to purchase Civic Euro Type R at 3,000,000 yen at all. He has now only eyes, ears and nose only for Honda European made Civic?
Though I have told about the inconvenient results, being looked down on, continuous stress & frustration by surrounding slow traffics and the poor safety mechanisms compared with German automobiles, no reaction but Honda was obtained.
Then how do you deal on your automobile, SUBARU 3L Legacy bought at 3,800,000 yen? You took it from me and modified her like a Monster, suspension, intake system & ECU reprogramming, exhaust pipes and muffler, seats and center console all changed, no?
You don't realize that your emotional condition is controlled by some trifle penny magazine article?
You will earn 200,000 yen if sell it?

Straight back
I'm suffered from strained back since yesterday after servicing on VW 1302 Super Beetle. While tightening the 19mm bolts I twisted inconvenient direction on my hip. The critical phenomena is lasting this morning, but I dare digest today's task at any rate.

Rear axle corrected on Beetle
Wheel base size difference, R/2425mm, L/2428mm, was corrected into R/2428mm, resulting in thrust angle correction also, minus to zero.
After correction strange habit like some sense of potential instability while straight running almost completely disappeared.
As a very personal opinion, the reason why I hesitate to drive any automobile belongs to another person is to the point.
Two steering wheel centric position were cleared, one is for frontal thrust direction and the other is for rear thrust angle dictated direction, though the difference was relatively small value, 2mm at handle post markings.
Repositioning of right hub case loosening 4 of 19mm headed bolts and elongation of trailing length 3mm twisted the lower arm clockwise with the center of lower arm inner hinge position and the too much toe was corrected into the same value as left side.
Consequently the minimum adjusting procedure attained maximum results, wheel base correction, total toe value reduction and thrust angle setting at zero degree. Total toe value must be checked if toe out condition is not formed.
Judging from the see through checking from behind about 30mm shallower tread is established after the adjustment today. F/1379mm and R/1350mm treads shows that the ideal total toe must be established with optimistic observation?
This will be proved on next opportunity coming soon scaling with special device equipped with LASER pointer system.

Many trials and experiments were performed to carry out the original purpose, to adjust the automobile run straight. Almost of my free time was consumed by the works on it, Thursdays, half of Saturdays , Sundays and National Holidays.
Measuring devices were designed and tested to obtain the repeatable datum on wheel alignments and geometric axle construction under the difficult condition influenced by deformable, movable and viscoelastic rubber materials.
Especially the physical property of hysteresis in rubber materials applied on every control arm was the most formidable enemy in the process, in addition with backlashes in the joints and the thin films of thickness for lubricant.
It took me much time to decide the repeatable basic measuring position on frontal hub outer surface. They would be the basic starting point for all of the later measuring and correction procedures for sampling datum on statistic analysis.
Measuring devices were also invented with desperate efforts by myself for vertically and horizontally precise measurement promptly with repeated several improvement processes.
The way was not flat at all but the knowledge and technology as the results obtained on the developing process were enormous for me.
Thank to the upper experiences for decade of researches, I could come to the level to understand the intention of the factory designer if I inspect the axle constructions from lifted up situation of the car with precise observations on the designing of bushes, the arm length, the 3 dimensional hinge positions settings.

Torsion beam suspension?
My son insists to buy new car, factory modified Fit called Special Civic at 3,000,000yen? How come? Is the model is worth purchasing for you?
It looks exactly the Kid's model unnecessarily too much decorated just a toy.
Basically, the factory would make effort to sell higher level model with the same platform as cheaper basic entry model, the rear suspension design would be changed into more sophisticated one, for example from torsion beam axle to multi linked designing as TOYOTA once did on "Auris" into "Brade".
The rear axle designing of modified Fit into Civic is not changed as it is, torsion beam axle, cheapest shoddy design?

On VW 1302

Deserted Large Mineral Sorting Plant at Mikobatake left several devices and machinery and high power electric controllers. As shown in the photos, they are all unusual ones, stuck old grease on the Bebel gears and connective chains reminded me of good old days they had been active so much.

To Asago cho

Rigid collar?

As a early morning task I worked on steering gear box of VW 1302 Super Beetle, construction is not rack and pinion design but former worm gear one. So the adjustment is performed from frontal trunk inside near by spear tire specially prepared capped hole.
45 degree tightening of adjuster bolt eliminated backlash that had been causing clicking noise when quick turning and back. The tightening of this adjuster often is returned heavier steering movement, in case of such tendency it's too much done. Slight clearance must be left for lubricant.
As for my way, thanks to the micro grain Teflon powder application well mixed with the lubricant oil inside, the reaction caused no change.
The centric steering position come to clear and attained easier keeping it on straight running.

Special lens adapter was made in DIY, though digital SLR body is old generation and lens was produced over 50 years ago, this combination is the most favorite one for me, lens adapter was specially arranged utilizing Asahi Pentax Extension helicoid tube performing infinity to 45cm focusing, and additional K-mout tube could magnify in much enlarging ratio.
Triplet designing of Elmar 65mm/3,5 Macro lens does not reproduce enough color contrast, this disadvantage could be easily compensated with the software, `Photoshop program.
On the other hand this marvelous lens could reproduce the atmospheric air temperature and actual reality in the sean. Of course the reproduction of the 3 dimensional object are living ones on the paper?
Because of the capability to reproduce the alive scenery on the 2 dimensional paper, I chose this old lens unit overcoming the difficulty to use on digital C-MOS film.
The only Canon lens I have is 50mm/1,8 standard lens, lightest and cheapest one in Canon lenses. Almost of 135 lens are Leitz made and Schneider's one, nor keinen Zoom lens.

Remembering the past, the former owner of this B-Vec had been suffered from occasional sudden stop on the hi-way for 60,000km use.
But this problem was solved by my diagnosis on Simtec 56,5 as the Air-mass sensor N/A. After replacing the parts, no error is recorded with no stress for fear of the threatening and dangerous problem.
Now this B-Vectra Wagon model has a perfect condition except the trans-axle position sensor occasional error, probably the terminal inside must be adhered by hardened and degenerated lubricant, disassembling, cleaning and re-lubrication would clear this kind of inconvenience.
Though most of B-Vectra might have been deserted in Japan because of repairing and maintaining expenses additionally some long time interval is often required to maintain her by the engineer compared with another models.
The parts that has nothing to do with is often required to be unburdened to access a small bolt, unnecessary and trifle tasks are many in Opel servicing, how come!

Question and problem
I happened to coming across to some strange structure on upstream portion of Muko River in Hyogo Prefecture.
A small house on the right side with propeller parallel to the ground looks like a water pump for the rice field? Then what the left side?
Coming across to the structure would answer the question, the river stream in front would prevent me from arrive to the place.
The video card shown had been thrown away as a void over 10 years ago, now it's available! After obtaining the suitable video driver from Web site, it goes quite favorably. As I don't desire the maximum and ultimate nowadays performance, it's OK no problem.

Just the replacement of video card, GForce 550 old stock, recovered the performance of main computer this morning, the transient is strange like waving that's caused by the ill driver of the card. Another expenses is not necessary now.
Thanks to some desperate effort yesterday on the frontal wheel alignment of VW 1302 Super Beetle, the steering adjusting times were remarkably reduced in number while straight running. This result invites driving with sleeping, because the concentration is not required as she goes straight without adjusting the direction.
Much more precise adjustment on rear wheel alignments in combination with the fixed front wheel hub outer position, they are the base scaling points for rear total toe direction, thrust angle, much more stability would be obtained.
200km test driving on Bantan conjunctive road found out new roots combines with Wakasa auto root,with very few traffic signals like some high way. I'll try again in opposite direction for the next time.

Ant-post inclination
Steering circle surface position is important because the driving position, especially anterior-posterior inclination is decided affecting on the stress applied the adjacent portion of thoracic and lumbar. Also the surface has something to do with the winker lever function.
Additionally in relation with the seat back inclination, the operability of switches on cluster surface. So the change of steering surface position involves many relations.
Setting frontal total toe value at in-1mm on VW 1302 Super Beetle is the priority task today before going out for a driving in nice breeze to Northern part of Hyogo Pref.

Moving the steering circular surface only 1cm backward brought me a great improvement of driving upper body position on VW 1302 Super Beetle today. I have no pain nor fatigue feeling on my back they have been suffering me for long time. I have recognized the importance of 3 dimensionally adequately suitable steering wheel position.
Though BC7's steering position had been corrected as 10mm backward following the SUBARU improvement reports for a newer model, 10mm more backward might be better, experimental trials must be performed on this point.
Frontal camber value was corrected on the left side, minus 24minutes to 34min.and 30seconds that's the same value as the right side one.
Remember here the camber value must be adjusted under the condition of same toe direction, in another word, camber value must be adjusted in combinations with the decided tore direction, so both of them should be performed at the same time together.
This complicated procedure makes the alignment setting difficult for the engineers.
And the total toe was set at 0,8mm finally, because the negative camber setting automatically produces camber thrust to inside considerably. Less value may be possible, decision of the total toe would be later after the actual running test.
Continuous running over 6 hours caused strange noise that had not been discerned before, the origin of the high frequency noise was from the DC generator's rear bearing!
Pooley side bearing was possible to access for lubrication, if the pooley assembly was removed from the centric drive shaft.
After applying chrome molybdenum splay grease without replacing bearing, successfully the noise disappeared finding out no mechanical backlash on cooling fan mounted drive shaft. Finally I was released from the anxiety to be suffering from the lack of lubrication leading to bearing seizure.

Main PC broke!
Main PC in my working labo broke at the time when I was about to going home! Video signal suddenly stopped and no more reaction on LCD.
Remembering similar experience half a year ago, I opened the ATX case finding out the punctured capacitor with cluck line opened. Not a second was required before I realize the reason of circuitry cutting somewhere in the PC case.
The producing maker of the capacitors were the same as a half year ago, purple colored ones.
I think the replacement of capacitor would recover the performance of video card as I did before.
Reporting tomorrow morning.

SSD or HDD?

This fact leads me to the imagination that the tightness on the arm shaft would increase steering stability more and more?
Now I have the same parts removed last time and some modification on it would accept some adequate needle bearings on the supporting upper and lower portions? Kicking back phenomena may increase, but such kind of problem would be solved relatively easily by the application of some adequate compliance in the linkage.
Basically this kind of trial and error should have been carried out before the model rolling out by the maker VW AG 40 years ago?

The chronic disease clicking noise still remains though it became smaller. The backlash adjuster on the gear box is the next step on coming Thursday.
Almost 1year has passed since VW 1302 Super Beetle came to me.
Though she passed the legal inspection 5 months later arrival, even now I'm busy for her lingering minor adjustments.
But the purpose to obtain her was to kill my own time concentrating on something, so she played well her role.

Not a day today
As I had been afraid of the bad atmospheric condition, hi temp and hi humidity interfered my future task to do today. So, only the task, tie rod end replacement was proceeded safely.
Clicking noise became smaller after the parts replacement but still remains, I'm afraid of the worst case, irreversible steering box!
The gear box replacement parts for right steering model are not supplied from all over the world!
As the life of note book personal computer is dictated by the CPU cooling fan's condition, so the right steering gear box on VW 1302 Super Beetle holds the fate on earth.
As a helpful way the change the steering system thoroughly into the rack and pinion steering system for later 1303 model would be one of the choice.
Further inspections would be performed on the steering system on coming Saturday and Sunday.
I happened to come across to a model house, I prefer this to new nowadays design.
