FIAT500 for Japan
New FIAT 500 right steering model may have critical difficulty to sell in Japan. Brake system is one of the most important mechanism for automobile and it will not used without using brake system, indispensable function at all.
Because of the lack of the space in the 500 engine room the vacuum master could not be brought to the right side and the designer was obliged to construct the appendant linkage with long way function producing inevitable distortion of the rods.
So the driver sitting on the right side can drive with steering and accelerating pedal, but not brake pedal.
The driver is obliged to concentrate to the brake pedal unnecessarily because of strange and rapid reaction, anyway unnatural reaction.
My son is fascinated by Honda Civic Euro TypeR recently. Careful checking on the model revealed that the platform of the model was utilized that of Fit and decorated in various way to finish as a expensive Civic Type R at 3000,000 yen.
Is the model is worth paying the money so much on Fit with 2,000cc motor?
Actually the model had been developed to enhance the willingness to buy the product.
Also it reminiscent of hope with the added value at 300 million yen, that is nothing but the model Fit?
However hard the production may be decorated in various ways, motor 2,000cc and shinny emblems, do we buy B segment smaller and cheaper model Fit at 3,000,000yen?
