Prodigal son

My son cancelled to come to our new laboratory this week. Once decided to come to us on specific day, on every Wednesday, he should come at any rate? He has not understood the severity of our professional work, he must be in the mood of some training in a group of undergraduate students?
The opportunity to come back to our laboratory would be that of very urgent condition, for example that I would be in ambulance car falling into emergency hospital admission because of complications of Gallstone and kidney stones?
