How to align wheels?
There are many articles with various opinions for wheel alignment procedures in Web site and most of all starts from rear wheel inclination adjustment, but I make it a rule to begin with frontal axle alignment with good reasons.
By twisting front main bar, set up the setback angular value as to Zero degree.
Next step, set up front camber inclination as to the same value on both side at standard degree under the condition of driver's weight on a driver's seat. Frontal hub outer points on both sides would be the reliable key position to align further measurement and adjustment, so the camber value, vertical wheel inclinations should be exactly the same.
Adjust the total toe value at the decided standard keeping the same length from the lack end position to knuckle ball one on both side, steering centricity should be ignored on this stage. In order to establish the same full turning angle, this procedure is very important, because the steering stoppers are equipped in the rack and rack case construction.
Prior to the rear axle adjustment, checking wheel bases, lateral offset and swung rear end is inevitable. They are the very important matters if precise scaling and adjustment are desired.
Rear camber should be adjusted under the same condition as frontal adjustment procedure, total toe at decided value and thrust angle to zero degree should be obtained under careful measurements and adjustments promptly.
As a final adjustment step, record the steering position at the position of 12 o'clock of steering column to reproduce the frontal toe direction, it's so to speak frontal thrust angle against rear hub positions on both side.
Then the rear thrust angle would be carefully and repeatedly adjusted till obtained pure rectangular 4 wheel positions keeping precise cares for total toe value. Water valve
I'm afraid of the World Crisis again that was the trigger of WW2.
I spent my off time for maintaining equipment in my new laboratory all day long, just tired and exhausted. I found out the difficulty to keep the ultimate performances in the mechanical movement especially in the function of diaphragm valve to control water pressure at adequate rate, as a common sense, some crystal water contaminants clogged in the way of small hole as pressure controlling balancing orifice. This phenomena closing the small water way causes a malfunctions, 24 years using period of time is enough to do that.
This kind of constructive design of diaphragm valve is not difficult for me to adjust upper and lower spring strength for pressure balancing, because I have been trained to do this in another field, fuel pressure controlling in 2 cycle small motor.
Also, solenoid valve has the same tendency to be influenced by the inconvenient solid material. But remember that some re-adjusting pressure control diaphragm valve spring strength should be required again, because an acquired healthy opened water way would increase the line pressure naturally.
The time has come to maintain all of equipment I'm keeping in my laboratory step by step and one by one, so my off time would be spent for the purpose for the time being.

Woman & Kid
I have determined that I would never propose my opinion about the alternation of generations between I and my son, though there exist critical difference of standing point of view. My way of perception in general practice is from academic based one as a researcher in Prosthodontic field, on the other hand his is from a general practitioner in our region. And valve pushing adjuster in three way syringe could eliminate water piling with success.
Then only coking procedure to shut out odd smell from the floor beneath would be done from now.

Malfunctions of the equipment for our job in the working chairs, #1 & #2, forces me to come to our new laboratory today, is spite of off time. The defects are three way hand syringe water piling and also that of turbine cutting equipment. Basically, the cause of inconveniences is brought by some small butyl rubber O shape rings utilized for pressure sealing as leak-proof pressure inserted in controlling valve body block. Though, they have been disassembled several times for maintenance already, the defects this time like leaking pressures of both air and water is difficult to define the cause of fault. The rubber O shape ring has some tendency to deforming if it was set on the portion to be pushed continuously inviting permanent distortion leading to pressure leakage.
Anyway, participate I will in the repairing work today.

Long talk last night with my son revealed there are some dissatisfaction for him in our new laboratory and inconsequential trifles have become a barrier to his migration to us.
From his standing point of view, our conventional devices and equipments are no good because of the date of production, 24 years ago if they are playing a definite roles admirably at all, all of them had been well maintained replacing periodical parts to keep their ultimate performances.
He must remember that any equipment investment should increase capita more than before.
Our basic concept is to contribute to the regional medical field with holding our economy.
We do not recommend any any received opinion of the manufacturer's claims at all.

Study
We are going to have some deeper and long talk with my son this evening about his future life. We estimate his daily life environment is not always favorable going to different direction with his friends who are not acceptable for us, we do not recommend him to go as he is now.
Especially his intention to go faster and quicker on the public road scattering nuisances to others is not allowed however well modified his automobile might be. The basic construction of his emotional condition is too childish and selfish considering his age 27 years old.
I always say to him, "OK you may do that, but on the closed circuit only with specially modified without legal license plate at all. Of course the racing car must be carried on the truck for the purpose."
Anyway, a half converted strange car with license plate is nothing but dangerous. A circuit running automobile for competition should be specialized in that purpose only. He will know what I say if would try running on the circuit in completely different speed range, also he would realize how dangerous to run higher speed on the ordinal traffic among passenger's cars.
Probably, SUBARU BRZ would be the last present from Dad celebrating his graduation from the University and acquiring professional license. Must I propose some responsible condition prior to the gifting.
No modification is allowed and continue keeping long as it is in original condition, because the model is fully balanced in any meaning, remember as you know, any modification by replacing any parts would invite the destruction of ultimate balance fixed by the factory professional specialist, no professional layman cannot do that, just destroy a marvelous original condition.

Canada Leitz lens
To tell the truth, this lens has been thrown away for long time period, because I have been making it a rule to carry Apo-Telyt 280/4 instead in spite of heavier weight.
I found it out packed in molded laser case, but lens inside has not been influenced by any mold attacking. I determined to try this one for the time being in digital circumstance.
This focal length requires tripod mounting device carrying with me, because no vibration canceller is equipped in the lens devices, of course, nor body construction including release cable.
Parasite Single?
We wanna pull my son out from a lukewarm water like circumstance, so to speak " Parasite single"! The best way to do so is make him have some independent family inviting new bride, but his emotional condition is far different from that probably because of the reaction by the life circumstance taking after by a perfectly strict nourishing mother. Now he has lived so freely as he wanted for more than 8 years alone. Probably it would be impossible to live with his parent here in Kinki area again. It would be surely a matter for regret that I throw away two automobiles, XH200 OPEL B-Vectra and BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model. Driving two of them yesterday and today makes me think of regret seriously, because they are kept fully operational conditions instead there is no fatal part on them. Both of them have thoroughly new suspension constructive parts and motors are well maintained including replacement of timing belts, water pumps, serpentine belts and oil seal parts.
I wonder where they would be in 6 months?

Driving 2 automobiles yesterday made me confused so much, XH200 OPEL B-Vectra and BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model, because both of them had acceptable distinctive character promptly. Changing
I'm obliged to reduce my keeping 4 automobiles into 2, because I must show myself to my son as a norms to be done. It's true that the number of 4 by only a person is too much from a general standing point of view, before that a driver can do that only one at the same time, it just nothing but wasting.

Successor
We must have some opportunity to talk deeply with my son discussing about our future lives. He was borne relatively later than ones of standard, so we have shorter period of time to assist him behind about for 15 years. He will be alone younger than others with same age, naturally he have to study more while he is still young.
I am prepared for the prior talk about that with my friend who has been assisting us privately.
My son has lived alone for 8 years independently far from us because of educational reason, probably he must have any inconvenient relations with any friends to guide him undesirable direction emotionally.
This is the reason why we wanna take him back here to Osaka from country region. He has changed now, different from before, he's like a different person, so she said, as I feel too.
We must think over deeply about this problem seriously now, some correction of his emotion is necessary, if wants or not.
Looking back on myself at his age, almost the same and my parent assisted me emotionally and financially enough, so I didn't feel any hunger all through my life, even now.
We did too much on him to the rate of spoiling himself?

Going favorably

New findings
My son's true intention became clear, he cannot wait till the end of this year to obtain a new automobile, SUBARU BRZ, so he is going to do on used Silvia with rear drive train. He wanna modify it as he likes, replacing into noisy thunder like muffler, a racing bucket seat and wide tires with big diameter wheels leading funny drifting drive scattering junks to others.

The stability, the edge of rising, the transient and the convergence are the element of the character I wanna put an emphasis on.

The difficulty of designing exists here, probably many a factory designer must exert themselves in this setting by desperate effort for the new model?

2 German Autos
Total accumulated driving distance showed 44,444km in total from the production 40 years ago, next arranging would be the time after 11,111km more probably next year. As I mentioned on VW 1302 Super Beetle, I have applied a piece of thin rubber sheet in the space between rear trailing outer bush and it's covering cap on both side. This would compensate the backlash caused by butyl rubber bush permanent distortion and waring. Even the application at the outer surface of the original bush, the existing inner space would be closed according to the covering parts tightening.
The result of the procedure was as the same as I imagined prior to the work. Steering astringency has far improved.
Stability of steering while straight run has done as also the same.
Initial stage of steering rising action became sharper.
Less steering angle is required on a usual curvature than before.
Right side habit tendency(very slight as to be ignored) became apparent compared with before.
The existed compliance has decreased leading to a slightly harder riding taste on the rear axle.
Replaced head cover sealing and application of liquid sealing material at the same time stopped nervous oil leak.
Old but modern?

Fine alignment
The wheel alignment adjustment and the correction of constructive geometry must be performed in VW 1302 Super Beetle, because it goes relatively well with rough setting of them, this task has been left undone for long time. Wondering while starting and stopping phases occurs as it does, most of bad habit are consumed and cancelled by movable axle rubber bushes in frontal and rear arms hinge portions. This kind of setting might be exist if the driver does not desire much about steering astringency. Self steer action compensates errors in the alignments, provided by caster, scrub and SAI setting are the contributors.
Much more stability would be obtained if the alignment is set by precise procedures, to the rate of straight running with no assistance of automatic correction mechanism.
Then fantastic and completely different world of driving would be there, so I believe!
Before that, rear trailing arm outer bush on both side should be tightened by inserting some sheet rubber plate. I have a confidence to improve the steering astringency and it's rising response.
My free time this afternoon would be spared for upper experimental trials, tomorrow all day long too.

Emergency!
Visiting association of our field revealed that the submission of
document to the Department of Human Service is necessary if my son would
work in our new laboratory, a submission of it only to the jurisdiction

Affairs today
Simply, replacement of the thermostat genuine parts recovered the original function in BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model this evening. Strange function of cooling fans, once started continues running endlessly disappeared. EJ22 motor is in good condition with comfortable combustion. As a matter of fact, what the special SUBARU engineer said was exactly to the point. Careful checking of coolant temperature sensor revealed that the number of terminals were 2 instead of 3 for later models, the circuitry designing must have been changed according to the grade up of computer from 8 bit to 16 bit. Though the obtained genuine parts in vain would not be returned but be stored for future opportunity of replacement parts for BLE model I'm keeping. Consequently, long term nervous problem in BC7 has solved today with good pleasure.
As for NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz, strange noise from frontal axle remains, I have a suspicion in hub bearing? My son must drove recklessly, no? Young driver has tendency take an automobile as a toy making sports, so it might be some my son's fault?
The surface of the Earth would be worn if the tires wear by some playing ride!
Today I covered relatively wider space by running about in Vitz, because it the only automobile that I have which has normal air conditioning system, driving in the day time at high atmospheric temperature is just exhausting task especially for a geriatric.
I dropped in the working chair company asking for residual repairing parts, though my favorite person was absent at noon.The oil pressure line parts and pneumatic toggle switches, now the plastic handle of the special switch is changed into metal one, probably for countermeasure? I met a friendly female stuff in the elevator who tried to catch my visitor's name plate that I almost dropped down by mistake. I said at that time with smile, "This is alive, so I almost loose?". She was kind enough to guide me to the room in spite of her floor was not the same as I dropped.

Carburetor adjustment
I would like to take pride in the fact that I could adjust a fully mechanical carburetor, Bocal 34PICT3 as to pass the exhaust gas checking in Legal Inspection for that for ongoing every two years, Carbon mono-Oxide 1,2%/4,5% and Hydro Carbon 884PPM/1,200PPM. Judging from the balance of the datum, just a bit richer adjustment might be possible to obtain more comfortable response.
The carburetor system had been replaced from Solex to Bocal few month ago, of course latter one was disassembled and serviced by myself previously resulting the situation to adjust and to set two screws for air volume and idling adjusting from the beginning. It was not so eye opening and surprising result if the task was established without any measuring devices, because it was regarded as an easy task for me to do like that in my way from the beginning.
I have an experience to have kept special French automobile for applying WRC competition, Peugeot Talbot 205 Rallye with 1,300cc and WEBER mechanical side draft carburetors for as long as 10 years maintaining her by myself.
It took me relatively long time to find out the way to adjust to set up 4 idle screws in twin carburetor with their sweetest position promptly. After establishing the way to do that perfectly, any anxiety disappeared in my mind to adjust mechanical carburetor however not a single ones might be equipped even 4 carburetors would be possible if the conditions other than all together were settled.
Keeping the motor rotation about 3,000 RPM utilizing only the spraying nozzles for middle speed, then seek the critical point of just starting the spraying at idle adjusting screw, because the idle adjusting screw controls both air and fuel together.
In another word, the key to success the adjusting is find out the very initial position of starting point of the spraying.
Once the points were found out, it's the same as finished.
As it is said on all the mechanical carburetors that the key to success depends only on the fine adjustment on idling adjustment, because it affects not only in idling stage but also all the transition of rotation of the motor.

Prodigal son
My son cancelled to come to our new laboratory this week. Once decided to come to us on specific day, on every Wednesday, he should come at any rate? He has not understood the severity of our professional work, he must be in the mood of some training in a group of undergraduate students?

Probably, very precise fuel injection amount control must be performed by the signal from the water coolant temperature in Bosch L-Jetro system.
The thermometer in the cluster shows very normal point on earth. The phenomena shows the displacement of the sensor sensitivity toward higher temperature direction, this attempt would be a interesting trial? Putting some fixed resistor would be good solution if the linearity of the physical performance like B type curvature could be obtained, no replacement of the parts is required. The method of parallel and series connection of rheostat for the purpose of current and voltage distribution would be change the linearity in any way?

As I had been taken care of another new comer pneumatic machinery, the replacement parts are not ordered instead parts number yet. Now new returning tubes parts had been connected in correct position, I have to take care of my lovely 20 years old automobile, BC7 SUBARU Legacy Lsi, tough she complains anything if left untouched with fooling around another one from an another different field. So with the prospect for the new comer, I would devote to her as before.
The affair this time taught me so much about intricate economy of commerce in various field reminding me of the principle in Reliability Engineering of Production, also Chinese ancient story of designing of "Wagon of Korin" that was done to lasts just 100 years and immediately decays and falls down in all the constructive part together exactly in 100 years.
Designing to kill only a part or a few breaks is no longer good, so to speak the machinery should work perfectly with perfect reliability while in it's designed life period and once the after the life has ruined it's construction should be fallen down all together at once, any parts should not be survive after that. This is a good machinery designing from a standing view of Reliability Engineering.
As shown on a picture in previous description the outer plastic lining of oil pressure line is not in favorable condition decaying some parts, inner mesh surface is not destroyed as to oil piling happens. Replacement of oil pressure lines thoroughly is an accepted ordinal way if once returning lines were done already, I will go as they are and the parts replacement would be done when any problem would happen in future? In the worst case, the floor of working place would be covered with scattered pressure oil pond? Consequently, re-assembling procedure of the working chair would be performed this after noon.
Failures of machinery occur one after another because of age, central hot water distribution system in villa does not work inviting the inconvenience of shower while bathing for about 2 years period of time, I do repair soon. Remembering the past, some warning was heard and stopped after that and no more, I'm afraid of the failure in some electric circuitry especially micro chip puncture or anther semiconductors disorder?

In the worst case, the floor of working place would be covered with scattered pressure oil pond? Consequently, re-assembling procedure of the working chair would be performed this after noon.
Failures of machinery occur one after another because of age, central hot water distribution system in villa does not work inviting the inconvenience of shower while bathing for about 2 years period of time, I do repair soon. Unstable & busy
Critical earthquake might happen in Europe because of Spanish financial crisis in very near future destroying Euro single currency system, then participating countries, especially Germany are held up this Climax? We cannot be an outsider if such kind of tragedy might happen far from Eastern Asia, because we are connected each other globally, so the unwell result would affects immediately after the crisis in a second. Activation of the financial community shall not be done until some big affair happens shaking the world, it should not be the third world war again, so I hope.
My son worked well in our new laboratory safe for the first time. Once a week as his day is at the beginning, his participation to our work would be increased in number gradually, then finally he would come back to Osaka settling himself somewhere around us constructing his own new family.
Takara Axis90 working chair would be moved from Mino to Osaka this morning, as all had been arranged previously.
Some maintenance service have to be done after the settlement, the oil pressure return hoses must be set first before 5 connections, compressed air, water, sewage, vacuum air and AC line including lighting switch line.
As some trouble, my private room in new laboratory would be occupied by this machinery, so my own room disappears, how come?

Ceremonious day today!
It's a very ceremonious day today for me, my son is about to work here in our new laboratory together with us for the first time. Feeling I something different from ordinal weekday, because the purpose of my desperate effort for these 27 years is nothing but this critically wonderful moment! Though his working day is only single day a week, the opportunity to come to us must be increased in number, now is the time for the starting moment of our transition period of alternative generations.
Remembering my past as one of a educational stuff in the department of Prosthodontics in some University, I have to refrain from giving too much advises from the beginning, otherwise he would have fall in self-hatered situation. Say something to him only when he asks to me, make himself realize by himself after his own considerations, let him realize on his own perceptions.
The education in technology jobs are very difficult, because he must arrange himself in his mind to know the right way, this is his own way that's different from mine, though he says he wanna follow mine.
Selecting easy way trying to obtain know-hows without his own efforts is just easy come and easy out, things important for his skill would not stick on him. He should have experiences as much as he can from now. Anyway he must create his own principle in our field as a better practitioner by his own seats.

Morning sweat
I'm going to have treatment by some Endodontic Treatment specialist in our neighborhood on my left upper central, it had been treated by my friend already when I had urgent inflammation in pulp tissue, still has it some chronic continuous inflammation with no pain but with some strange feeling when my body health condition is not so good. Judging from a X-ray information, some bone resorption is recommended meaning the root canal treatment is not enough to seal the canal on the tip portion or some bacterial infectious reaction exists. This is why I come to a dentist's tonight. Also the root canal treatment had been done with a good concentration, still have I some discomfort on functional root, palatal one, praying that would better day by day. I just remembered the principle of RCT, any bacterial infection on root chip in bony tissue should be eliminated before root canal filling procedure. In the worst case that the problem would not solved, I will come to Tokyo for Otani Institute of Root Canal Treatment. I must prepare 60,000 yen for 4 roots treatment in total, because the price of the treatment by a specialist would cost 15,000 per one root, so I hear?

Came back exhausted
Most of the factory engineers have tendency to separate knuckle and and strut loosening strut bolt, I had selected the way to do on knuckle ball joint.
Strut bolt is utilized as the camber adjustment portion, so once loosened wheel alignment adjust should be follower. But separated knuckle ball joint comes back surely in the original position because of tapered mechanical joint construction. This is why I had chosen this way though some complications would be accompanied.
Narrower space comparing conventional model EP82 required some modification of special tool by grinding upper part to suit this NCP10 model.
BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model, continuous running of cooling fan at Hi level was activated by ECU control. Deteriorated cooling water temperature sensor sends ill signal like over heating phenomena happened, so the fans are activated in Hi level. In addition the sensor problem, cooling fans relay on-boarded in dash board might be a criminal of this affair. Making up my mind to replace upper two parts without any hesitation including thermostat also. Avoiding misunderstandings between a client and the usual parts supplier(it happened several times in the past), I have to be informed the parts numbers by friendly factory mechanic. Probably it would be done on next Saturday and Sunday.

I must check the service manual for BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model from now, because the cooling fans continue running while not in over heating but in normal condition in spite of bubble removing work had been performing so carefully as taking time repeatedly. The reaction of electric fans that the phenomena stops after restarting of EJ22 motor shows the action should be controlled not by mechanical reason but be done by some electric especially software?
Of course a cooling water temperature sensor might have something to do with the inconvenience, in addition to an electric fan mechanical relay.
First of all checking the diagnosis restored in ECU have to be done seeking the fault or faults, cooling water sensor defect should be shown as Morse signal #21 by flushing the check engine lamp, in addition to the former procedure by connecting black 2P coupler, the unconnected 2P green coupler would perform self-diagnosis immediately after connection with the performance of decided recipe by the factory design probably following Bosch patents. As for mechanical parts replacement, thermal sensor for ECU & mechanical thermostat controlled at 78 degree Celsius would be replaced after the checking on the poor contact between the terminals promptly.

One of a most critical defect was the fracture of oil pressure pipes activating head wrest extension movement. Asking the engineer of Tkarabelmont, the replacement parts would be prepared , as for my surprise, indispensable special parts, 12mm-100mm bolt are necessary for fixing the oil pressured cylinder mechanisms otherwise the upper part of working chair would be slipped up when the seat upper part was held for handling. The engineer promised me to send the special bolt and pressure hose. The movement main part would be moved to us on coming Thursday in the morning.
Takarabelmont Axis 90 working chair has excellent designing construction reflecting the long lasting production performances in different field, barber chair production covering almost of share in Japan. The strength of the movement hinges are strong and tight with no tendency of wear, over quality as it may be, the period of 30 years after production contains no anxiety for provisional use from now. Oil pressurized mechanisms and hand tools ones are basically separated, this concept might have made this machinery last long?
I would enjoy setting this machinery from now in combinations with the new designing of lighting system, LED with cell battery driving supporting by relatively delicate and lighter flexible arm.
This task is one of a most interesting one for me because I have been thing about this concept 30 years ago, some situation like this opportunity makes me exert myself in a new interest.
As my personality, some outer factor is necessary to start new preserved planning.
