Timing light

Timing light for ignition timing checking is obtained through YaHoo auction as shown in the photo at 1,000 yen junk. New but so old enough not to prove correct function, but no problem remained as I have a confidence to restore it.

Though paied already and the baggage will arrive at Osaka tomorrow before noon, it would be received the after tomorrow, my working place would be closed as a regular holiday.

Mainly used this on VW 1302 Super Beetle maintenance and for EP82 distributer setting once.

The power supply is not from dry cell battery but from lead car battery 12V for strobo sparkling with enough lighting power.

I would enjoy setting ignition timing and knowing the relations with motor performances with much deeper understandings. This kind of way to enjoy is not capable on recent designed automobiles, because the ignition timing is precisely controled by ECU according to the programmed map.

This kind of enjoyable playing on different ignition timings is the preferential rights only for the old automobiles equipped with the distributer and point system.
