Appearance and content

Generally it's very seldom that the appearance and the content match so firmly in any cases.

As a very rare case I wanna show here, for example, ancient Leica M3 silver salt camera looks so nice standing out among various Leica models. Especially on the range finder construction is above excellent, probably the machinery was designed and hand manufactured when the Elsnt Leitz company had been in the highest circumstantial condition.

When we see the constructive design of range finder on Leica M3 model after disassembling, it was based on the accuracy of the construction without thinking much about effort and cost for actual factory manufacturing.

But later models introduced after M3, all of them came to disappoint the engineers in all over the world.

The fact described above proved that how perfectly Leica M3 model was designed and constructed in the world.

But remember here that however excellent machinery Leica M3 might be, all the originally designed functions must really work well, shutter speed, hoisting and frame advance, shading, frange assembling accuracy and error.

And for the lens, Summilux 50mm 1,4 second generation has no cloudiness nor any body distortions by hitting.

Uppers are general requirements same as ordinal cameras, but the distinctive range finder in Leica M3 with much capacity and over quality has enough room to adjust the capability on focusing.

I make it a rule to make use of the physical property of second generation Summilux 50mm lens, that's the extraordinary Spherical aberration correction between F1,4 and F2,0.

As known the focusing fluctuates depending on the closure of iris.

This M3 has been adjusted on focusing at the specific iris closure, because of the upper mentioned reason, of course the artifacts, film channel 0.300mm and film thickness 0,225mm, the curling anterior-posterior value is 0,075mm are counted when actual measuring and adjusting on film setting surface of the body.
