I'm going to change the fuel pump on VW 1302 Super Beetle, from mechanical one into electromagnetic one.
The purpose for the replacement is avoiding unnecessary cranking consuming battery energy and quick starting under stable fuel pressure.
Only the good advantages do not exist but the critical problem should be recognized that with a simply connected circuitry from ignition plus with some fuse, the fuel supplying is continued until the fuel tank comes to be empty.
This condition is very inconvenient and also dangerous in case of accident, the possibility is high to be burned by self burdened fuel gasoline.
So, the circuitry must be cut off if the engine stops and some adjustable timer must be prepared for cold starting phase. In order to satisfy the upper requirements, some timer and relay circuitry should be designed.
