Preparations ready



Newly obtained shock driver enabled me to go forward on BOSCH starter motor servicing. The reason why the special tool was required is some grew preventing loosening of three screws connecting the case and the magnetic switch module, shown relatively upper part of screws in red colored material. No disassembling desigh of the module causes some anxiety on the wear of the terminals that is impossible to check them before breaking the module.
So I made up my mind to replace the module into new one, because the motor brushes were checked already.
Now next step is waiting for me today, after the preparation of starter motor, alternator replacement.
Also special construction of intake manifold that is automatic intake surge tank balk adjusting system must be checked at the same time especially on vacum actuator's movement on diaphragm. Photos would come up later.

Cienta has critical problem on the motor 1NZ-FE, compression rings on pistons, oil consumption is unusually increased, because of ring stick. The mechanical serviceman says only for Cienta in specific production interval, no other 1NZ-FE mounted model has such kind of problems just the exception, probablly some micro revel manufacturing error must be involved.
The fact came across yesterday made me anxious because my NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz has a similar motor 2NZ-FE with the difference of 200cc less.
Consequently I happened to see actually the VVTi system, oil pressure controled continuous intake valve timing construction on the sophisticated engine head inside, in addition timing chain that's newly introduced system instead of cogged belt timing control, looked not so reliable like that of bicycle for kids.

Finally the magnetic switch module was removed and replaced into new part. The rate of switch terminal wear is discernable by pushing down the connective bracket with some concentration, the less amount of downing travel means that of wear. The distance was reduced into a half of new one, so decided I replacement parts. The red colored parts are some grue for loosening prevention with some acrylic resin, epoxy resin was applied for reassembling this time.
Fuel pump, Alternator and Starter motor are the fundamental parts for vehicles, so to speak "Three sacred treasures of the neck.".
After exchanging those parts my Vectra would obtain the original performances like new car including replacement of shock absorbers and relative rubber parts, then another 150,000km run would waiting with me.
