BC7 completed fairly
BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model was settled in peace after the wheel alignment adjustment utilizing a LASER equipped scale, total toe for front is 1mm inside and 0,8mm inside for hinter. As for rear total toe direction so to speak thrust angle, it is adjusted well as to almost satisfy myself, very close to zero thrust. The spring free length differs for GC8 GDB and BC5 RS each other, 35mm lower than latter. I have realized that some spring traveling distance is indispensable to obtain some comfort ride. The factory designed balance has been well assessed on genuine GDB suspension spring and shock absorber, but, I prefer the designing for BC5 RS model to GDB if the rolling amount might be increased. In order to consume and to absorb the vibration and noise enough, as suspension stroke plays a considerable compliance mechanism part, suitable stroke and adequate balance between spring rate and shock absorber performance designing are the key to obtain the good taste of ride. The factory designing engineers must have been making effort on these propositions after conducting much experimental studies actually, not by a whim temporary. This is why I never introduce on my car another third party manufactured suspension parts but original and genuine parts and with factory decided combinations. Not sporty nor luxury but standard and lasting long are my favorite one. Making an error of constructive tolerance while manufacturing as less as possible by myself and replacing some periodical replacing parts following servicing manual so strictly as not to change any parts numbers would be the best way to keep a car at least 30 to 40 years. Replacing cars into a newer model is just nothing but wasting money.
