VW 1302 Super Beetle's carburetor Solex 34PICT3 was re-set from the first step,though the legal inspection has passed on exhaust gas checking, later precise checking revealed the perforations on vacuum actuator diaphragm for ignition timing both advancing and retarding.
The perforation on retarding diaphragm means the vacuum leak leading to leaner fuel mixture, so air volume control adjust screw was loosened counter-clockwise 5/8 rotational turning logically,now the nipple for retarding is closed.
Closing unreasonably and unintentionally opened air way has gotten back the originally richer mixture condition.
Also throttle butterfly closest position was re-set as standard one.
Motor stopping habit in the condition of first idle disappeared after carburetor setting.
Throttle stopper positioner, air volume control screw and bypass screw were all moved considerably with no relations with original positions.
I re-recognized the fact that the idling stability affects not only on idling but also all the rotational circumstances.
Application of wall paper on additionally insulated firewall of VW1302 Super Beetle has improved the scenery in the room mirror.
33333km has appeared in the single meter cluster of my Super Beetle today.
