Compliance
Replacement of idler arm bracket in steering linkage realized me of difficulty in accomplishing the design in both astringency and compliance for vibration and noise on steering linkage construction.
The VW genuine new parts is designed for prevention of handle shimmy phenomena by replacing from rubber compliance bush into one piece bronze sleeve. As the result, stability of steering reaction increased but the capability of compliance for noise and vibration decreased, steering handle transmits both of them, just became worse.
In order to eliminate this kind of inconvenience, rubber material or engineering plastic are naturally applied on the way of combination.
The arrangement this time gaining astringency has connected body chassis and steering linkage directly, resulting the increased noise and vibration.
This is the most nervous point for the factory design engineer to stand together what are bipolar.
