SRPP 45 Amplifier repaired

Old triode tube single low frequency amplifier became out of order and repaired with my minimum effort before long. As a symptom, the speaker out put on both side decreased gradually and finally disappeared even at maximum volume control. I had some suspicion on supplying high voltage on the plate of power tubes from the beginning and I was right. Immediately after opening lower cover I could recognized the criminal, it was the initial capacitor 47μF/350V with the the trace of liquid leak, the former capacitor for rectifier smoothing circuit for the rectifier tube. 20 years used capacitor was replaced into new one and its original performance was re-acquired safe. All the electric device and equipment around myself should be checked on capacitors at least once a few years. Though semiconductor lasts unlimitedly but electrolytic capacitor has limitation because of loss of electrolyte. 20 years is too long, remembering the past, rectifier and one of UX45 tube were lost because of inrush current, this 47μF/350V might have been the reason for the accidents. As for the rectifier in my personal computers, over 10 years, how come? Any time will do to be out of order!
