Paint on old Beetle?

Net surfing has ascertain the color code of my VW 1302 Super Beetle as Marina Blau VW code 21 L54D. Though a color picker in Photoshop soft wear shows the codes, RGB, HSB, Lab, CMYK and #A0BCD2 promptly, it is very difficult to define the actual painting 2 liquid Urethane paint color. But once defined and obtained the know-how of the mixture, keeping the base liquid is easy because of chemically separated design.

The technology for under coating method must be studied and mastered, because the quality of finished painting surface is almost decided at the basic stage and the later surface flattening technology.
Thrown away the air pressure spray gun system 20 years ago having been thought of no possibility to paint the model airplanes, now I need the painting devices aging for 40 years old VW air-cooled Beetle.

As the internal mechanical conditions improve like a new car, the original condition of appearance, painting also desired.
Very best internal condition and lost shinny painting surface are not in good balance, better looks by new paint are required.

Because two small air compressors have been connected mechanically to increase the total bulk, I can start painting any time with spray gun if the devices and material were prepared.
I'm not good at air spray gun painting work but not so bad at that because I had had some experience in painting on model airplane several times in my childhood.

2 liquid chemical activating urethane color must be taken care of the gun after use, without cleaning with thinner, the gun nozzle would be void by closing the tip with hardened paint material.
Consequently, the planning of painting on the rusty Beetle has been occurring in my mind recently.
