Comparison

Two similar focal length lenses were compared, Leitz Macro Elmarit R 60/2,8 and Minolta ROKKOR-PF 58/1,4, both of them had been in good reputation promptly, upper Leitz and lower Minolta at iris 3,5 opened. As a Macro Elmarit 60/2,8 is the latest model, the color coating on some lens element must had been changed into the concept of emphasis on more contrast than resolution, so there found a tendency to break in darker part destruction also high light one. Judging from the experimental picture, the blur behind of Elmarit is not always so acceptable as to be referred to in the street, better ROKKOR 58. As a whole, ROKKOR 58 has a good capability in representation of dark, though it look like in a lack of contrast, resolution is better than Macro Elmarit. I prefer Minolta to Leitz on this battle, in addition, the prices are completely different each other in the second handed lens market, 70,000 yen to 1,000 yen? Though there were not a few uncertainty while the silver salt film period, chemical reactions and the characteristics of the fixed lens for developing and enlarging, we can make use of digital image formatting as a method of lens test without any uncertain factors now.
