Because two small air compressors have been connected mechanically to increase the total bulk, I can start painting any time with spray gun if the devices and material were prepared.
I'm not good at air spray gun painting work but not so bad at that because I had had some experience in painting on model airplane several times in my childhood.
2 liquid chemical activating urethane color must be taken care of the gun after use, without cleaning with thinner, the gun nozzle would be void by closing the tip with hardened paint material.
Consequently, the planning of painting on the rusty Beetle has been occurring in my mind recently.

Difficult negotiation
Though I said that I would never butt in the designing of new laboratory, he turns half deaf ear to me. The difficulties getting along with my son are observed here and there now. He often shows negative reactions unreasonably with repulsive remarks. Very difficult to negotiate with young guy avoiding his wrong feelings, sometimes being surprised by his wrong recognition in different way of thinking.
I have no intention to control him along with my own way, instead I hope he would go his own way in future. The gate of my mind is fully opened at any time for him, any questions and any proposal are acceptable.
Anyway I hope we go to good direction from now.

Coefficient of friction
An application of Microflon into trans-axle gear oil may do harm to the synchronizing mechanism.

Change!
The important elections have been over yesterday, some revolution would be performed in very near future in OSAKA.
The designing of new laboratory would be left entirely to him, otherwise things are not moving ahead a little, as proverb says,"Too many chiefs, not enough Indians.".
So, our new working place would be redesigned from the beginning again, the constructor may be changed into another one?
No taking photograph is allowed in the National Literary Theater at Namba Osaka as usual, but very special method made it possible to do that yesterday. The Japanese harp sounded there so pleasant harmony, rhythm and melody.

Starter motor for B-Vectra has been completed disassembled this morning, in spite of 150,000km used parts,previously unburdened original starter motor assembly had not any critical dysfunction including solenoid electric switch terminal's wear.
Checking of solenoid switch is performed in this manner, pushing down the plunger till the bottom centered push rod touches the pushing terminal inside(impossible to disassemble), proceeding till the electric terminal shorten the circuitry, then how much more movement to the axial direction would be reveal the future life of the switching parts.
According to my experience, over 1mm tolerance extend additional 100,000km use.
The solenoid switch this morning had 1,3mm sinking distance after the terminals were shortened.
I didn't recommended the necessity to replace this parts and made up my mind to go as it is.
Application of chrome molybdenum grease in adequate portion was performed and plunger surface was lubricated by gear oil containing Microflon powder. The opposite side of motor supporting bush cover was opened to apply lubricant, drive shaft axial movement stopper and spacer were observed. As previously mentioned even in the construction of one way clutch, lubricant was applied carefully.
Now the replacement starter motor parts for B-Vectra in good condition has been prepared, I can go ahead any time I want!

Extreme-pressure additive
The information about the necessity of lubrication in clutch bell for an automobile starter motor revealed that it should be applied on the contact surface between the clutch and the main drive shaft also in the construction of back torque limiter. In additional information tells about the extreme-pressure additive sometimes not being permissive.
Anyway starter motor must be unburdened and disassembled till the clutch bell should be removed from the construction and the lubrication procedure by splay chrome-molybdenum grease would be performed into the grooves of cam one way clutch promptly.
Mechanical metal slipping surfaces require some lubrication, otherwise wear and seizure are inevitable and the machinery would be a void.

So far as the thin lubricating film may be maintained, the direct contact between slipping surfaces is avoided promising their longer sometimes unlimited life of important construction. Most of them around myself are over 20 years old already and still now in very healthy condition. Of course I had been making it a rule to apply lubricants on the necessary portions periodically.
The principle of resource conservation is not replacing into new ones repeatedly but continuing to use the same as long as possible.

Only 1/16 of closing angular rotation of air volume control screw on Solex 34PICT3 carburetor equipped in VW 1302 Super Beetle has brought a remarkable improvement on combustion of AD 1600cc motor that had been used 40,000km distance for these 40 years in best conditioned machinery.
Ultimately comfortable combustibility has obtained at 10 degree BTDC with both centrifugal and vacuum ignition timing advancing system at idle speed and 30 degree at 3,000rpm.
Leaner mixture and less ignition timing advancing cause motor jerky feeling.
Good balanced A/F mixture, under the condition of high enough compressive pressure, with strong and even sparks, at good timing are the requirements for good combustion.
To know how, to feel good, to adjust at best condition and to establish all the procedure that's necessary are the great fun for me, this kind of hobby has been supporting myself internally since my childhood.
Recent computer controlled automobiles give us a little pleasure, because the motor condition is fully controlled by factory preset soft wear precisely, no way to interrupt in the way, every user is a complete outsider in controlling the motor conditions.
Though the motor is keeping it's vest condition all the time, some loneliness must be felt by a specific user who wants to enjoy making conversation with the internal combustion engine and to adjust some balance for it's utmost performance.

So I conclude the different perceptions of the locations between two laboratories caused the different way of thinking.

One way clutch!
Deeper inspection on the starter motor led me to the conclusion that the dysfunction in the starting scenery on the XH200 OPEL B-Vectra had been caused by the one way clutch situating just inside of the floating pinion gear.
One way clutch is one of a crucial component for the starter motor to engage with flywheel ring gear and to release the engagement immediately after the motor starting without being damaged on the starter with lower rotation performance. So, the performance of the starter motor is indispensable for automobiles driven by combustion engine equipped vehicles, especially a automatic trans-axle is mounted.
Remembering the past that the used parts was burdened with new solenoid switch, felt I some motion heftiness on the replaced starter motor.
Careful checking proved that the battery is healthy, alternator also good, then what's wrong?
Removing the replaced starter motor to disassemble and to separate with new parts solenoid switch, then it will be set in the original starter motor body to prolong the part's life.
Very trouble some and hard work again the task would be, I must do that before I get old.
How about coming Saturday? The task may be put undone on the way and be thrown disassembled, because another ones could play the part of B-Vectra.
Additional wiring of new plus cable at BOSCH 120A alternator should be applied if the heavy working would be performed from the bottom side of the engine room. The possibility of lack of free current flowing in the original wiring is not wiped out.
How about removing intake manifold this time for attaining easy access to the operation portion?
This is true that the too much clean scenery may reveal the necessity of wire harness repairing surely causing headache? The most tiresome task it would be in the world!
Do the best as I can if it's possible, however hard the task may be, this is my way.

I drove automobiles over 400km yesterday like a professional taxi driver does.
Precise inspections would be performed today on charging system including wiring and starter motor with solenoid switch, very difficult to access to the points as they are.

Tiresome job
BLE SUBARU B4 3L model my son is using digested two years and has to examined with legal inspection before 26th next month. As an usual manner I would often bring it to Central Land Transport Office, I gave up to do the same this time.
Height adjusting shock absorbers with oil leaks, exhaust manifold, central muffler, end mufflers on both sides, intake manifold, seats and another small parts are replaced into not genuine parts but 3rd party's ones.
These modifications have discouraged me to prepare by myself for Legal Inspection Test.
So the expensive procedure would be asked to the genuine dealer Gifu SUBARU this time.
Early this morning, I must go to the villa for the parts and deliver them to him in Gifu from Osaka for my prodigal son. Just tiresome job killing one day of my 2-day holiday.

New laboratory
A new logo for our laboratory is now under considering, also the the total designing of the gate and inside?
Several ideas comes out, deeper consideration and negotiation would be necessary involving the opinion of my son's attendance, because there would be great possibility to go after my job and laboratory.
Anxiety in future may occur because the situation, two professionals in the same laboratory would have tendency to collide depending on different opinions each other?
Some separation with my movement to another place may be possible in future. I may go according to my favor because my duty to nourish the next generation is almost over now.
On fortune telling in My Yahoo, my luck is only 51% today, so I have refrained from driving an automobile in the rainy climate today to my working place.
Inner layout of new laboratory would be re-confirmed this after noon, arranging every parts of equipment including entrance doors, not so easy but interesting for me to do new works like this in different field.
Implantation of automatic door to new place is considered, though the constructors are not willing to my suggestion? So polite treatment would carry out to move glass made automatic door to another place if intended by the engineers? Why not?

With replacement parts?
Obtained I a 12V/38A voltage regulator at 2,500 yen for air-cooled VW 1302 Super Beetle in Yahoo Auction in spite of the information that in the Web site the same one is priced at 7,900 yen. Written on the box "hecho en Mexico" as it was, loosening and removing centric screw revealed that the quality control should performed according to that of German Robert Bosch Co.
No strange nor poor construction were observed inside and the water proof with rubber sealing method was perfect, comparing with the memory in the past when the original same parts had been disassembled under the rear seat left side.
I regard this Bosch genuine parts must play a part of good periodical replacement parts in future.
I make it a rule to store some critical replacement part under the rear seat of Beetle, a re-built distributor, a capacitor for initial stage, an ignition coil, a point, a piece of point gauge with 0,45mm thickness, a cooling fan belt, 1/4 socket tool,connecting wires for throttle control and clutch linkage and the indispensable timing light.
I cannot drive relieved without those replacement parts, because a 40 years old vehicle like air-cooled Beetle requires sometimes rare and seldom parts for mending on both electrical and mechanical disorder.
Running about those replacement parts would be useful in case of emergency and the best way to return home with Beetle, not alone.

Maintenance & affair
Vent hoses have replaced probably 40 years after production of VW 1302 Super Beetle, because some fuel smell come out from the hoses themselves. Super TOYOLON was planned at first, angle formed figure were necessary for the nipple's directions, finally the genuine formed hoses were found in stock box. Adjustable metal hose bands were applied on connecting portions, in addition to the replacement all the vent hoses were re-confirmed.
Steering dumper has not been maintained because of the lack of end bush part, realizing the compatibility with that of opposite side, replaced safe. Now, all the original oil dumpers equipped on my Beetle had been replaced thoroughly .
Strange and uncomfortable vibration from the steering linkage construction disappeared and the inconvenience like heavy steering action did not occur. Including the progress in stability there all the functions were improved. I should do that early than yesterday.
Attended I in some seminar held in OSAKA after noon yesterday, a new attempt and application of subconscious, very interesting professional's way of talking and teaching. Judging from the web site she has brilliant careers in the field and now in key position in the related organizations.
Her lecture course is holding at Umeda on coming Sunday, I may attend again to reinforce my poor and weak knowledge again. Repeating anything is important especially for a geriatric.

Cold season comes
Though VW 1302 Super Beetle has no transpiration purification system like a canister with intake manifold connection, the vent hoses and a special plastic long parts are formed around the fuel tank. Today, I'm going to re-confirm the connections and layout to eliminate the fuel smell in the cabin completely.
The fuel smell comes into the cabin intermittently invites discomfort of the passengers.
15mm inner diameter Super TOYOLON hose with half transparent color may be applicable as a temporal treatment for a vent hose with a nipple on the way connecting fuel inlet tube that has prepared at the entrance portion and the upper part of the fuel tank.
Cold weather as Winter season requires re-adjusting of automatic choke angular position to prolong the choke activating period of time. Otherwise I would be suffered from engine stool after the cold starting phase every morning from now.
Moving to the working place for automobile maintenance in villa early in the morning is convenient for me because less traffic condition takes me to the destination in short period of time. So I must start as early as possible in the morning.
New Year's Eve is not the true criminal to make me busy unusually but the transportation of working laboratory to another place is the reason. I must consider about the designing and layout for the new place, complicated and nervous task as it is, interesting and fun for me.

Early bird this morning
I studied about the Risk Management in business by Mr.Okubo this morning on NHK TV program.
Only the continuous efforts could carry out to nourish the skill, especially Portable skill that is effectively available even in the out side of the field, in another different business.
The reputation by the others is not more worthy than self analyzed assessment.
The energy to pay attention to the outside eyes is no meaning. Self-assessment is the first.
Good circumstance is risky because we don't know like fortune teller what will happen in future.
Change and try another one is the best Risk Management if the field may be changed into completely different world.

Compact D-Cam enough?
Though I'm satisfied with the capabilities of recent compact digital camera, I happen to open some camera bag that had been thrown away for a long time, because the compact one was left at home at that time. Then I came across to the result shocked and moved so much.
Compact digital camera was compared with ancient Leitz lens equipped old Canon digital SLR camera yesterday. Just an incomparably different picture has been obtained.
Then what do I want on the lens exiting just in front of imaging device surface, what performance?
Perfect correction of Seidel's 5 aberration?
Resolution?
Transition?
Color correction like super-achromatic one?
Deeper color reproduction based on light transparent glass coating technology?
Clear and clean sharpness supported by extraordinary computerized designing?
Or very special grass material with highly dispersed low-intensity like fluorite?
Bright one with big diameter frontal glass?
Ultimate correction of any further dimension world utilizing computerized analysis?
I don't want to fulfill any upper requirements if the natural reproduction of three dimensional objects on the flat 2 dimensional surface with atmospheric condition and the texture, even temperature and humidity. I don't want to put an emphasis on resolution capability like a Botanical painting method.
I make it a rule to hung the picture after finishing in my room before the competition. I would be a candidate with it if I could endure to stay with it for two weeks. Unfortunately I have no experience to have given permission.

Station plate
Judging from the comment on my previous blog, I found out the lack of explanation about Uzurano St. and ancient Military Air Base for Kamikaze attack at the end of Pacific War 60 years ago.
The railway station "Hokkeguchi" had been the terminal place to come to Uzurano Air Base.
Careful judging on the Station Plate made of wood shows some pale letter written from right to left like Arabic and Hebrew, remembering we wrote and read from right to left in some Meiji generation period over a hundred year ago.
Suppose this station plate had been here hung and recognized by the Kamikaze Pilots and passed by 60 years ago. This kind of imagination makes me feel sad so much.
At left bottom "abiki" is written under the letter "tahara", this is why the St. Tahara was newly established later in 1952 between "Hokkeguchi" and "Abiki".
Great Triplet
One of a requirement to obtain a compact digital camera for my use was the special mounting screw hole for supporting by a tripod, but actually tripod and timer shutter have not been used from the beginning.
The reason is the equipped excellent self stability system preventing camera shake. Some tripod, big and heavy equipments and bulky bag are not always necessary for a photo journey.
In the past time when I was specialized in close-up photos, I tried to obtain depth of focus by closing iris value utmost, now very easy to do that by small compact digital camera.
This shot was taken in darker condition, Elmar 50mm 1/30sec f/4.0 4 steps intensifying treatment processed by Photoshop.
Leitz produced this triplet lens with the correction of chromatic aberration 50 years ago.
Digital camera body sometime play a part of precise lens analyzer. Also the "Kante" theory that Leitz had been invited to be relied on would be proved relatively easily even by the amateur photographer on LCD.
Lack of focus depth is clearly observed, this kind of expression may be allowed to enhance the point to close up the point, the screw hole. Remember here that the soft-wear has a pseudo way to do almost the same.
There are unlimited possibilities to express the artist's intentions by utilizing sophisticated devices. To do that in any field we should be tough enough not to be hung on the way, also difficult to find the way of apologies for being lazy.

Favorite lenses
Thanks to Princeton Co., I could find out the driver soft-wear in the Web site for old CF card reader PRD-CF.
Today picked out I the Digital SLR camera with favorite lenses that had been left untouched for long time. Now I wanna show my own way to have used now old Canon 10D.
Elmar 65mm/3,5 Macro is the most used one with Pentax Extension Helicoid rings close up to 1:1. Because of the triplet design and single coated lens surfaces, color reproduction is not enough, but this disadvantage could be overcome by Photoshop program.
Famous Elmar 50mm/3,5 is based on plastic Canon body cap with keeping flange back distance at infinity, sinking barrel could be pulled out for close up till 1/2 magnification. Light and less projection make easy handling.
For ultimate resolution and transition with wider angle view use I Super Elmar 15mm/3.5 that was designed by Leitz GMBH by it's own technology by means of computer designing, different from Schneider nor Carl Zeiss.
Though all the lenses I'm fond of are Elmars with f-3,5 aperture, Elmarit with f-2,8 has some different taste on 90mm, I'll tell about this in a later report.
Beetle repaired
Fuel inlet metal tube has fixed in correct position this afternoon. In order to seat the rubber grommet outside of the pipe, fuel tank had to be moved laterally to the left side.
Because some pendulum movement action was necessary to the ring rubber adequately.
Sealing rubber ring must not be distorted to keep the sealing effect preventing leakage.
Still now tens hours later from the fuel leaking accident, Beetle's cabin is occupied by the strong smell of gasoline, how come?
Before noon today the contractor came to measure the size of new working place.
I don't know how come there are more than twice the price difference depending on the suppliers?
Ceiling lights would be designed as LED lights that became cheaper and cheaper recently.
Air conditioning system would be invited as ceiling invested central system for Professional purposes, constructive cost would become lower than used as family use equipments.
Electric professional had checked even for the circuitry for advertisement plate in front.
Basically fundamental and big constructions are not necessary, the cheaper the better if it's enough to endure on about 20 years future working.

This is why the work around this portion has been difficult to be done perfectly. This kind of critical problem must be solved at any rate if the Beetle is wanted to be continued more longer.

Mistook!
I came across with the terrible scenery, the cabin of VW 1302 Super Beetle was filled with strong fuel smell, how come?
This had been my own business with big mistake!
I applied butyl rubber self-welding tape in addition with genuine rubber tape lust Thursday. Some clearance must be formed after coupling with outer rubber connecting hose with closing metal band. I found out the butyl rubber material had been melted in sol state with organic solvent gasoline!
Basically the fuel inlet metal pipe must be fixed at the adequate position decided by the rubber round grommet, and in the scenery of fixing it, the fuel tank could not exist on the position, because some special efforts without any obstacles must be required to set the inlet metal hose.
No argument! It's my own fault! Do that following the concept, by-step!
Remove the residual fuel from the tank, remove the thank once from the mounting position, fix the inlet metal pipe at the adequate position in relations with rubber grommet.
Remember the hard wears including binding bands must be prepared on the inlet pipe previously, don't leave what must be done if they were complicated and boring tasks, otherwise the more hardships would be waiting in future.

I have refrained from smoking already, I often the specially contented satisfied emotional feeling when I had smoked just after the hardest working. This feeling is as all know above words.

As the sway bar for VW 1302 Super Beetle is prepared, some trial fitting must be performed. Though the lateral torsion bar supporting mounts exist, but the linkage arm lower supporting brackets do not, because of IRS trailing arm rear end constructive design.
I checked about this problem when rear brake shoe clearance adjustment, the original brackets for swing axle except IRS are not applicable because of upper reason, so any bracket should be re-designed and be fixed well to support the impacts from the ground.
I know before doing those modification by the experience with SUBARU Impreza GF 1800cc model, originally without rear sway bar but applied by myself achieving good results.
We can find out linkage rod with ball joints in many replacement parts, I've some confidence to make up sway bar linkage construction for VW Super Beetle establishing anti-rolling effect utilizing most of genuine parts without destroying the balance of factory setting design.
Now the steering performance is in strongly under-steering property because of rear breakage, this unacceptable phenomena would become better after the rear sway bar application.
BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model has now neutral steering action performance when 4WD drive train is applied, but in case of FF traction under- steering response is played.
Rear total toe setting also increase the rate of under-steering property, rear tread value also much to do with the steering reaction, wider rear tread invites under-steering one.
A wheel spacer does exist to adjust this kind of performance adjustment not for the appearance.

Uzurano again
Drove I VW 1302 Super Beetle for 4 and a half hours as long as 150km today, after the required tasks on herself, side sill upper carpet covering, under console covering, rear brake shoe clearance adjustment, fuel supply tube sealing and ignition timing including point gap adjustment.

The application of insulating materials adequately on necessary portions could establish the balance of NVH for air-cooled VW Beetle, dignity and character as it had been formed could acquired again.

Risk management
I studied the importance of the risk management in the hospitality industry by Mr.Tsuneo Okubo early this morning in the TV NHK. He is now very famous in the management field because he has succeeded in the developments of the garment industry, the food supply marketing and the catering industry. He says the fundamental necessities are the same for the success to invite the customers and it's number should be made double or three times.
The first is "Greeting", from the bottom the heart, warm, with loud and kind, with smile and all acceptable attitudes by all the stuff there, getting across!
The second is "Cleanliness", all the places should be kept clean especially toilet. This concept should be obtained with the recognition by all the stuff also.
Especially in the medical and dental treatment fields this concept are indispensable, because of the idea of anti bacterial infections.
The third is "stop out of stock", all ways prepare for the customer's demands. Not to fall into the situation being impossible to make any supply. Prepare perfectly at any time for meeting the customer's demands.
Our new laboratory opening in the beginning of next year, the upper requirements would be fulfilled and concepts should be fully invited.

Old latest better than newest
Driving feeling on VW 1302 Super Beetle has been far improved in every scenery after applying the insulators on frontal wheel house, even the engine noise from behind has been far reduced.
In a more quiet condition while driving with additional 3mm thickness rubber sheet application, I clearly discerned the high frequency noise caused by gears and joints functional operations, they are propagated from trans-axle shifting lever.
Now I know that the intention of shift lever boots is not invited only for decoration but also for noise insulator. I just remembered that some manual trans-axle equipped old car had rubber insulator with relatively big volume on the shift lever, the first generation of TOYOTA Mark2?
The more difficult to eliminate when the more higher the frequency should be.
This kind of researching, experimenting and developing on the NVH establishment are all for the factory designer's task, not for the outsider's like a layman, myself, because the accumulated huge volume datum could have the right to say something on earth.
Suppose if I continue to eliminate the inconveniences found by chance the task should go indefinitely, because I have no way to know the ideally balanced condition for the vehicle?
Changing the situations, if I'm one of a member of the developing some specific model, without arguments desperate efforts would be required especially when rolling it out, and after that the efforts for more improvements would be continued till the next newer model would be rolled out again as usual.

Trials & errors
Removed carpet was repaired with new material, terrible mold smell obliged me to remove the original carpet applied in the cabin of VW 1302 Super Beetle few month ago. As the room decorating material like carpet has nothing to do with the automobile's fundamental performance to run, the retained glue was left untouched with ugly looks.
After fixing the floor carpet as it was, realized I the material had much to do with the establishment of the character and dignity as a passenger's automobile. As an additional treatment for noise prevention, 3mm thickness rubber material was set under the carpet adequately resulting the remarkable improvement of the NVH reduction.
Rear fire wall had been covered with the same rubber material last time, now the high frequency noise is discerned from the shift lever portion mainly caused by trans-axle gears and joint bearings, some countermeasure must reconsidered there.
The compliance balance in NVH had been well considered by the VW factory even 40 years ago, so I realized after the reconstruction of insulating rubber material.
Even now the developers and researchers for a new model are repeating this kind of trials and errors utilizing sophisticated measuring instruments and devices.
Today frontal part only, side sill covering would be done on coming Thursday, as the parts are already firmly cut as original size.

Thanks to those maintenance procedures performed with taking almost one year, now my Super Beetle regained the original condition like new as 40 years ago.
To tell the truth, I have some anxiety about an inevitable servicing step after some use of manual trans-axle, the biggest festival for air-cooled Beetle that must be passed, 50,000km used clutch disk replacement! Though she came to me last year at 30,000km from new condition since 40 years ago, now I used additional 10,000km, so I must prepare for the festival by DIM before long.
Careful surfing in Web sites notified me that there exists clutch facing VW genuine parts at 1,200 yen, and the factory stands near by me to re-set the clutch facing only task , also the special grue for the purpose I found.
As a common sense I have, when the clutch facing was worn, all the relative parts should be replaced into new ones, clutch disk plate ass., pressure plat with diaphragm spring plate, release bearing and pilot bearing inserted in the center of round weight.
Suppose what will happen if the clutch facing no-metal material only would be replaced and the residual parts would be re-used, of course under the conditions of the necessary countermeasures being applied, pressure plate flattening and bearing and sliding spline grove lubrication.
The time of starting the engaging slipping is the sign to do the strategy about one year later so I guess.

Effective Shell Pura 100!

So, the motor has the innate high performance quality at high rpm? It's interesting?

Six hours driving in VW 1302 Super Beetle causes my low back pain, fully mechanical control system with no power assistance may be too hard for a geriatric? Especially frequent gear changing attitude using clutch pedal in a crowded traffic is no good, long driving on a high way is acceptable however long distance it may be.
Recently recognized I the result of changing the automobile fuels into Shell Pura 100, the physical performance of 40 years old WV air-cooled boxer 4 engine increases day bay day, probably considerable carbon, sludge and banish must have been accumulated for long period of time.
Basically the ignition timing in 1971 by VW company invitation was unusually controlled by double diaphragm special delayer and advancing device , while idling the timing was controlled at ATDC 5 degree by the intake manifold minus pressure, when the throttle valve was opened another vacuum diaphragm is activated to perform BTDC combustion timing, any way very unusual control concept based on anti-pollution theory, remember here valve over-up is 5 degree, it may have something to do with the distributor setting?
Now I removed ignition timing retarding system including throttle valve control mechanical system dashpot because the distributor itself had been replaced into later model's one, now the timing is BTDC 10 degree as another cars do with good performance. But at the Legal Inspection every 2 years, some modification may be required to attaining the regulations, below 4,5% CO and 1200PPM HC, delaying the timing and opening volume control screw adjustment, one year later.
As for BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model, replacement of ATF with adequate amount, fuel exchanging from regular fuel to Shell Pura 100 and re-scaling of wheel alignments yesterday, ultimately in best condition at all. Though the wheel diameter is 15" , the tires are best supplied, BRIDGESTON POTENZA 01 with 60% profile, the compliance balance is obtained with suspension's one, including solid engine mount for GDB model instead and trans-axle's ones.
This morning tried I XH200 OPEL B-Vectra for the transporter, the bad habit that the only the very beginning of starting is no good, engaging clutch does not work smooth? But this phenomena occurs only once, after that no problem, how come? Is this a bad sign to decline to fracture?

Results today
The solid determination on BC7's wheel alignment setting has wasted this morning, all the scaled datum were not offset from the central standard value decided by the factory.
rear total toe was less than the standard value but toe-in constructive design was kept well at 0,105mm in/scaled at tire's outer edge, 68.790sec(angle)/total toe with 40.150 minus thrust angle. The error is less than a minute! The acceptable and permissive value if referred to European Vehicle Standard Regulation, plus minus 10minutes(not second value, but minute).
Consequently no wheel alignment procedures were performed on SUBARU BC7 Legacy LSi US model today.
As my intention became in vain, decided I to make a trip to Kameoka, North Western portion of Kyoto for special lunch.
Kaiseki in Kyoto at "Mon", Mon means some bigger gate and the origin of Kaiseki was like this, Kai is frontal stomach part of human body, on the other hand "seki" is stone.
To keep the meal warm the heated stone was utilized in the clothes on breast and stomach portion, ancient people's knowledge.
Though I had ever been there twice, 5 years ago was the last visit, any anxiety was wiped out to satisfy my stomach. Wheel alignment and Karmann Ghia T34?
Pouring 30L of Shell Pura 100 fuel attained power and torque improvements on EJ22 SUBARU motor in BC7 Legacy LSi US model, the more progress of the motor performances would be recognized gradually according to the cleaning effect of the fuel.
The change of motor performance also change the character of the vehicle including steering reactions. Now almost neutral steering reaction is established over clicking point 60km/h speed.
Also steering reaction has changed into over steer character. More consideration is necessary on this title.
I feel some necessity to check and reset the wheel alignment on BC7, let's do that tomorrow on fine day. Devices are ready including standard vertical plate reinforced last time.
Pendulum camber gauge is healthy and LASER equipped horizontal scaling devices are also ready.
Air compressors had been connected together to increase compressed air volume, doubled, so air tools would be performed in comfortable conditions.
Climate change into the cold season would call the necessity to re-adjust tire air pressure, difference would be about 0,3kPa.
I'm interested in Karmann Ghia T34 model in white color, very rare model with right steering design. She in in my eye sight for the next strategy.

Newly developed Sport Car
Imaginations occurs in my mind on newly developed TOYOTA FT86 Sports Model with SUBARU Flat Boxer motor and F/R traction distribution layout.
Though I don't have enough information on the model, propose I some interesting opinions.
Motor would be newly developed long stroke one with increased torque at practical rotation speed.
As a 2000cc motor would invited for the project, 1500cc may be applicable if the requirements were fulfilled that a sensitive turbine from lower motor speed, high compression ratio, cylindrical direct fuel injection system and eliminating the throttle valve by controlling intake valve and timing precisely by semiconductor and fine mechanisms with no pumping loss design.
Of course the performance of the motor is important but that of trans-axle is also non-negligibly effective on the character of the automobile if it is controlled manually.
Though the torque converter system on automatic trans-axle is one of an established technology now, completely different concept is invited in European automobile, computer controlled manual trans-axle, DSG Direct Gear Select, so called.
SUBARU has enough capability to do the same or superior trans-axle than foreign companies may be invented under the supports of another biggest technology of research and develop division in TOYOTA, because they are in the relations of alliance.
