Restored VW 1302 Super Beetle

The length of the shift lever extension parts is almost decided and fixed. This is determined at the end of the actual trial and error by myself, because a small difference of the extension length affected on the shift feel so much.
Consequently the length was not so easy to be fixed after knowing the most adequate three dimensional shift knob position adapting to human sensory.

Precise point gap adjustment must be performed relatively frequently to drive with comfortable VW AD motor condition. As the point gap adjuster screw is tightened so firmly not as to be loose, the cause of this phenomena must be the wear of point arm lifter made of plastic material?

Ugly driver's torn seat back in Super Beetle was covered with newly arrived covering parts from Tokyo. The supply of this kind of after parts is established because of VW Beetle in spite of the old production, 40 years ago.

New replacement parts, ignition coil with 3 ohm first stage resister arrived also.

The original distributor has been out of order because of defected diaphragm in the vacuum advancing actuator, now the replacement of the actuator could regain the original performance.
Though the original actuator had two ways actions, retarding while idling and advancing as ordinal actuator, retarding action was eliminated this time. This complicated control system invites some trouble on throttle action, stumbling and hesitation.

009 distributor without vacuum advancing mechanism has some tendency to perform strange throttle reaction like some descriptions above.

Now the frustration and the failure on my Super Beetle have been almost resolved recently after my desperate effort on the restoring for over half a year.
