Legal inspection on SXE10 TOYOTA Altezza safely passed this morning without any delay. Also VW Polo brought by my friend passed with some minor troubles. Polo has some problem on beam direction, too low, caused by head light module defect by plastic flame destruction due to to weak design under the condition of engine room heating and continuous spring pulling force. Later model has improved parts on the portion.
As an urgent temporally treatment, rain guard rubber cap behind was inserted under the IODE lamp terminals intending rear side up to rise up the direction, finally two layer of rubber insertion could attain the required angular direction. The reason why such a stupid manner were applied on VW was defected direction adjusting screw. According to the information from the Web site, destruction on this parts is the most likely as an usual manner.
As for my Altezza, I had some difficulty on speedometer calibration test at 40kmm. Though the traction control switch was off, it was relatively difficult to keep and stay at 40km constantly, because the gear change happened unexpectedly and the desired speed was drifted, so the gear position must be held at 3rd position by selected lever, now I remember about this problem, I'll try like this two years later for the next Legal Inspection.
