Many tasks left undone on VW 1302




Finding out backlashes in steering ball joint linkage on many positions yesterday, more precise checking would be performed today in addition to frontal wheel cylinders and brake master cylinder. I'm not satisfied with the fuel pipe line applied by the professional dealer because of breakage by rusting for the fixation is not enough with anxiety of comming legal inspections. Another way to fix the fuel pipe line must be considered.
Further descriptions later:
Frontal wheel cylinder were disassembled and serviced well today, finding out some critical problems, the depth of rusting was thicker than imagined, recovering method were hand filing inside wall of the cylinders until invaded rusting disappears. Surface finishing were finger sand paper method requiring patience and ultimate efforts, but I did them well and all successful.
On the air bubble removing procedure I realized the master cylinder surface is also invaded by rust, the strange reactions were felt through brake pedal touching, naturally replacing of master cylinder would be strongly desired. Stopping lamp switches should be changed into new ones including two 2 pin halled rubber boots.
Over 40 years old car needs much replacements of periodical replacement parts, this is a natural phenomena, because human being also requires health checking if we come to the same age.
