An article below should have been reported yesterday. Recent regulations are much more severe, former 1% and latter 300 PPM in addition, Nox regulation is added. Because the upper regulations are applied on the vehicle users, far severe regulations are applied on the manufacturers. Consequently, I have no anxiety in the problem of Emission Gas that are precisely and fairly controlled by sophisticated sensors and controllers especially in VW Golf 7 model. But, the same VW made vehicle, an air-cooled Beetle produced 50 years ago has a different story at all. No smart controlling but fully mechanically controlled for fuel supply. Before that, DC motor involved are starter motor and that for wiper action only, no other drivers such as blower motor nor window washer pump, pressure for this action is utilized that of spare tire, of course, no power window system. The concept to measure the sophistication of the culture by counting the number of the Electric motors installed, Air-cooled Beetle is far behind of sophistication.
