Audi A3 DBA 8PCAX Water pump replaced

Replacement of the rotten water pump were performed safe on Audi A 3 BDA-8PCAX the day before yesterday. Side mounted motor and transaxle construction of A3 narrowed the working space as a matter of fact as usual, the motor mount system is different from Audi upper class. Mounting the motor in Right angle to the vehicle has a good advantage that the torque effect while changing motor power does not matter on rolling direction but on pitching movement leading to stability of steering action as a matter of fact. Thanks to the description on Website, I could obtain precise ST sized information, a "Triple square M10mm" for pooley setting on pump body, "T30 Torx" for pump with motor body and "16mm wrench" for belt idler tension releasing. Also a warning that the residual LLC overflowing at pump portion after withdrawing from lower radiator hose, I could catch out almost of original amount of LLC. It goes without description that Three M Silicon liquid packing was applied along with the O shape rubber ring. Because no countermeasure was observed on a newly supplied replacement parts from outside watching inspection, more 10 years it would continue, so I hope. Judging from my own experience, only 40,000km used Serpentin rib belt "6PK1735" was not replaced.
