Shoddy report

Aircraft accident follows one after another in the actual airplanes, same thing happened in my model airplane so miserable today!
The disaster attacked on YOSHIOKA Pegasus Acro, the flying tail stabilizer broke while the rising up phase, actually I could recognize the phenomena with my naked eyes. Lack of physical strength caused the fracture that's all.
Before that, any Acro plane should not be applied full power like stunt models even in the taking off situation.
And as a matter for regret, it was lost completely, just disappeared into the bush, no shadow or shape.
In spite of bitter experience last year, a terrible flattering phenomena destroyed  when I took off an Acro plane, an indispensable lesson could not be made use at all.
Anyway, all of the result owes me, no apology or no excuse is available at all.
But, I will never be defeated, I will stand again with much more motivations.

"Begin the Begin" Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!

"Begin the Begin" fell down today under Uncontrolled condition by a trifle reason, the result was irreversible destruction, main wing and fuselage was destroyed into pieces, motor carburetor was distorted, but RX R3008SB and servos are alive and safe.
Careful accident investigation led me to the conclusion that the criminal of the disaster today was just a lack of pin length connecting switch harness and the battery. Also, the pin gripping force is weak, easily slipping off. Probably, this switch harness must be a third party company made.
Just a checking mistake like this brings so regrettable result, my own experience over a half century could not cover the defect living in a connector inside.
I never rely on the finished switch harness but would I make it up by myself utilizing a toggle switch and reliable connectors with taking the best care and deepest checking procedures in future.

Repairing the pressure leak in TETRA Rookie 20 with ENYA SS 35 motor could acquired an originally good performance today, it proved that ENYA throttle valve with fuel throttling mechanism without slow air breed could match well with YS Regulator system.

The first flight of YOSHIOKA Pegasus Acro was performed in combination with YS 45 FS Initial type, it made it possible to draw F3A P19 pattern so freely in the sky, though the motor had not Tuned Pipe but with normal muffler, the performance was good enough to cover all the maneuvers without stress.

A first flight yesterday

ENYA SS 35 motor was operated on TETRA Rookie 20 yesterday as the first flight this year. because YS Fuel Pressure Regulator System was connected in the fuel line, the carburetor response was far better than natural aspiration ordinary carburetor, compared with OS 40 FSR burdened on Begin the Begin carried at the same time.
As a matter for regret, the pressure line was broken with pin hole on the aluminum pipe connection that was found out after coming back. The performance of SS 35 is so satisfactory as to be invited on TETRA Hien 4C50 being built up soon, all the F3A P19 maneuver patterns are available with it's power, torque and stable operation.
Once the YS FPR System is experienced in good condition, ordinary natural aspiration carburetor would be regarded as dull, unreliable and uncertain one. No one can return to the state before the experience.
As for Begin the Begin with modified aileron, the application has improved as some normal one, so the conclusion of the experimental trial just putting pieces of moving wing along the rear spar does not take effect as a matter of fact, moving Lift Center of Gravity Position to posterior by adding aileron was not the way to be done.
Rolling maneuver could be available with normal positioned aileron yesterday.
Because of a good information of the weather forecast, Pegasus Acro would be flown as the first time today.

Calm & Gentle life

I wanna live my residual life without any social discrepancies.
I do not argue to any different opinions and not deny any one, just avoid passing or return to find different way.
Never destroy a current situation, because some incredible energy is required to change the surrounding circumstance, what appears in front of me is just a small corner piece of the Huge Iceberg. So, all the change, if it is tiny, should be done by Natural Energy, it would be done as a natural phenomena.
Someone should have made efforts to construct some logic, so , nothing should not be discriminated and be excluded, the contribution should be rewarded in any cases, though it is difficult to discuss without denying others. Most of the cases, I play a part of a listener only, so I'm regarded as a bad person who has no opinion being an object of centralized attack, in spite of avoiding apparitions who are noisy, aggressive and scattering dirty problems. 
I make it a rule not to affect to another person, even a revolutionary innovation should not be noticed by the people around me, camouflaging and hiding it pass through. Pretense like nothing even if it is a big case.
In order to avoid to be influenced by the others, I always try not to sit in the center of an affair.
Anyway, I do not have any discord or antagonism in my life, just I feel I could live my own life without any high waves from now. The more quiet, the better.
However hard I might make desperate efforts, nothing changes, natural phenomena exceeds everything, also, our lives are shortest like a sparkling.

Lazy life

Almost one year has passed since I retired from my business and my son is getting well in the same working place without any complaint, so I thought.
I had an opportunity to have some claim from my son and his mother at the same time, actually they have several matters to be complained, I was so surprised to hear that at the beginning, but actually they have discords on me indeed.
As I'm using a small electric heater repaired by me several times and it consumes Electric energy too much, 10,000 per a month, in order to support to pay, he must work as much as 50,000 yen. He obliges me to change heating method into the Oil Heater. His conviction that the criminal of increase of the payment should be the old Electric heater I'm using.
My consideration in Web sites led me to some conclusion that my consumption is just only 10,8 yen per a hour, so, his distinction is not to the point, just out of the target.  The true criminal that is wasting is nothing but the Tropical fish breeding he started 2 month ago, as a matter of fact.
Odd smell caused by my shoes is terrible so much, he says. Though I do not deny such kind of phenomena, but it is not caused only myself but himself and another persons? Recently, I found out an another reason, disconnection of outlet piping of bath room and shower room, the operation of ventilator to get smell outside might call sewage smell?
Her inadvertent voice call targeting just when I'm concentration on a critical thing frustrated me very often for 30 years with no reflection or no improvement.
In stead she decided not to speak to me, that was her countermeasure for our inconvenience.
Anyway, strange attack and wrong measure are done on me these days, lost of power as a ruler after my retirement might be the reason.

KAF Photographic Exhibition

I happened to drop in the Photographic exhibition held by Kyoto Autofocus Club at AMS in Oike agaru Ommae Nakagyo-ku Kyoto. Though I visited there since 10 years, I could arrived at the destination without being lost with 20 minutes walk from Hankyu Saiin station. Relatively colder circumstantial condition was well suitable for walking in the fresh air, Buenos Aires!
Nostalgic names were scattered in the exhibitors with the similar expression of the ways.
Do I do it again, no way to return back to my old hobby again.

Main wing connected

Separately constructed main wings of Flash Pro 45 were connected in the centric position with grass fiber cloth and Epoxy glue as usual, in condition so that the upper surface should be flat to keep the character natural in Knife edge flight situation. Though the original design required 9 to 11 mm dihedral, the lower shape was modified to gain front fuselage area leading to reduction of the angle. I hope this condition of main wing would not require any mixing modification.
The tip of both main wing and stabilizer was designed as TN type originally, I changed them into normal shaped ones, so the main wing area was increased a bit compared with original one. This kind of modification at the tip ends might increase an air resistance drag apparently as we often experienced on the propeller construction. Powerful YS 45 FR motor would overcome such kind of worse and affect able condition, so I hope.

At the most difficult stage



I have tasted an ignominious defeat in Yahoo Auction last night, 6 bits in 6 bidding were denied last night, in addition, all of them were exceeded with 100 yen. There exists a natural enemy to be watched out all the time in the field. I should try bidding secretly from behind the back for the next time.
The construction of Flash Pro 45 fuselage shows some stagnation, because the built in method of Tuned Pipe is invited with some modification.
Main wing center connection is the next step, taking care of any discrepancy such as twisting or distortion, because this step is the critical key to decide the performance of this model airplane. I came across with the most difficult stage in the construction.
By replacing the hand-piece only with Korean made third party at 1/10 price, my indispensable device could survive it's performance again, judging from the outside on the Collet chuck construction, it would last me as long as the worth of the price.

Inconvenient Micro Handpiece

Strange squeaky sound from the hand piece inside interrupted me from the grinding and polishing work on the desk, so disassembled I it so carefully as not to destroy precision parts, the origin of the noise was the core less motor driving shaft supporting bearing, very small miniature bearing was mounted there! It was clear that the mechanical capacitance is far from enough to support it, the lack of lubrication in the moving bearing dictates the life of the motor hand piece unit. Basically the ball bearing construction requires oil lubrication in wet condition, motor driving shaft supporting circumstance dose not fulfill the requirement at all. The designer should prepare the oiling way to be reachable to the bearing point from the outside without disassembling mechanically.
Any machinery and device were so designed to be continued long by some adequate maintenance at least before the WW2, but nowadays, all of the civilian's good are mass produced to be broken after 5 to 6 years use, intentionally, so constructed and flowing in the commercial distribution economy as a matter of fact. This is the resulting conclusion of the mass production and mass consumption.
I do not agree this kind of tendency at all, something should be wrong? I should replace the motor supporting bearings by myself, if possible.
Consequently, found out a very cheep, 1/10 price, hand piece Korean made in the Web site, just only replacing hand piece is my intention, so did I.

Wing modification completed

Modification on the Old Timer, "Begin the Begin" , has completed to prepare the moving wing, aileron. This model airplane has been designed to control rudder only originally with relatively high dihedral angle on the main wing, I changed it into higher performance model by setting aileron and reducing the dihedral angle into zero degree to give it a potentials to make F3A patterns in the sky.
Of course I know there exists an apparent discrepancy, wrong mismatching, purpose differences to make this kind of model into a stunt maneuver fighter, I dare do that to show that maneuver is possible even with this kind of slow flight high wing model with Clark Y airfoil, with big surprise by the audience.

Full-fledged modification


Extended moving wing on the main wing of "Begin the Begin" , a famous Golden age free flight model does not take effect as the aileron enough to make rolling maneuver, so I made up mind to modify it regularly, cutting some adequate area and setting the aileron as normal one has.
Dihedral angle has remade as zero degree prior, it's possible to gain the datum about the designing of aileron area. Probably, normal effect would be obtained as a matter of fact. This is because the forward movement of lift center of gravity occurs.
After this trial experiment, this B&B model would be modified to change the vertical main wing position as the low wing model by penetrating 18 mm aluminum pipe for setting the main wing of  "Sky Leaf", to know the effect of the main wing thrusting position. Much datum I wanna know would be recorded after this trial.
The power source burdened for this model airplane is OS 40 FSR with nose 50 gr weight, I might consider about some replacement, into more heavier one such as OS 46 FX obtained by chance the other day or ENYA 45 CX also obtained in Yahoo Auction at very low price, both of them has stout crank case construction leading to stable and powerful operation.
If B&B model could accept the main wing displacement, the coating film design and the shape of the main wing chip would be changed and remade.
Let's see what will happen soon.

Old Temperature Controller



I happened to bid Yahoo auction, hi-temp therm controller by chance at 2,000 yen the other day. The purpose is making use of it for US made Muffle NEY Burnout Oven with no controlling of thermometer and mooring program, probably the controller card might be broken. It looked fully mechanical controller as it did, imagined I that I could control NEY Muffle by just connecting it and also it's mechanical construction might be relatively easily understood how to do that. My own shallow and frivolous thought brought troublesome at all. First of it is huge body than expected, too big sized it is!
Second, it disappointed me so much when the service door in the front is opened, 3 pieces of glass tube containing Mercury were observed, how come, what are they for? Remembering the very specific switching system invited for the Automatic Air Force Flap in Japanese fighter while the WW2, US Code name George.
The glass cylindrical switches with mercury moving terminals are controlled by some cum construction moved by the servo motor, mechanically so complicated.
Though the construction inside is so polite and refined, it's hidden potentials are above my understanding, in spite of  tens years of manufacturing, the company is still now operating condition, am I going to ask them to share any information about this ancient temperature controller?

FUTABA 10J Charger

I have made up my mind to modify an ordinary AC adapter to meet with FUTABA 10J transmitter driven with 4 pencil type Nickel Metal Hydride batteries 4,8V. It has the capability to supply 12.35 V DC/700 mA, most of the case, 2 or 4 diodes for rectifying and 3 terminal regulator or Steiner diode and resistors for voltage regulation are included inside, but too much high voltage and current, so any modification were required to charge series connected NMH batteries safe, partial current flow and partial voltage pressure should be invited, shortening the circuitry with 17,7 orm/5W resistor guides 300mA and 10 orm /5W resistor parallel connection does 5,3V promptly.  Relatively quick charging method as this setting is, this kind of modification is worth applying to protect the battery while charging. Also, Mechanical Off Timer would be helpful to count the charging period.

Fuel tank position

The original cabin designing of Flash Pro 45 was so modified to accept fuel tank to be burdened at CG point, narrower cabin has no way to sit for the pilot. The modification is performed to prevent the movement of the CG point while the motor operation, if the fuel tank is positioned at the nearest place like just behind the bulkhead, the rate of fuel consumption affect on the CG point compared the beginning and the end half.
Anyway, the fluctuation of CG point is inconvenient for the maneuvering pilot being affected on the stabilizer's controlling feelings.
YS pressurized fuel regulating system does not require such a classic manner and custom at all, any fuel tank position will do even near the rear stabilizer, higher forced fuel pressure caused by motor crank case first pressure is not affected by any other  external disturbances. This is why I have changed the original design that is too low to accept the fuel tank just on the maximum camber of the main wing.
What is better should be done on the new construction whatever thing it may be.

At Land Transport Office in Kobe

According to aging, the opportunity to make myself excited has been reduced recently, in such a circumstance, a periodical my car inspection in every two years by the Author is only one for me. But today, my Caldina has passed the Exam without any problem with no excited scenary at Kobe Land Transport Office in Hyogo.
Thanks to my desperate effort by myself for the replacement of Motor mount parts in Caldina the other day, the riding comfort has been remarkably improved and attained like a new car, this is why I have determined to continue 15 years used AZT 241W. No emergency torch checking was done on the testing line, though I borrowed that piece for Honda Step Wagon newly obtained by my son the other day.
The Weight Tax system as a temporary measure introduced tens years ago is still now lasting with highest payment in the payment item, 34,200 yen, how come? The Authority has some tendency not to stop collection of the money once decided.
Anyway, I should continue this Caldina without any accident for 2 years from today, the life of the brush part in the Dynamometer would last more 20,000 km and that of the starter motor would do the same.

Fuselage modification of Flash Pro 45


Apparent lack of sagittal fuselage area of YOSHIOKA Flash 45 Pro obliged me to change the lower portion figure if I desire to draw a recently regulated maneuver patterns without stress. Some reduction of dihedral angle would be required as a matter of fact, probably flattened upper surface of main wing would solve the problem of rolling effect while knife-edge maneuver. Originally insufficient and poor side view as it has, the change of fuselage area would compensate not only the performance but the appearance, it would resemble with Bingo F3A model that would be build up relatively soon.
My own recent tendency of new building YOSHIOKA brand kits has deep intention to make my skill up enough to fabricate Bingo by myself. Before that, Sunday alpha 50 building might cut in, it depends on my improvement of skills to do that.
