Change & Purge

The differential gear box side oil seal rubber parts would be replaced because of oil leak would be performed today, by myself on NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz. Loosening of knuckle ball joint and steering tie rod end ball joint and removing brake caliper are the tiresome tasks on the way. I have to take the best care not to invite any wheel alignment practice after that, this is why I had planned the method today, just separation on ball joint portion would not require any further adjustment.
On the other hand, camber and toe should be readjusted and the procedures are indispensable if the constructive strut bolts were loosened and removed. I just imagine that stabilizer bush mounting bracket might be removed instead of link construction disassembling, the procedure should be much easier than usual. Sweating works are waiting for me this before noon.

Introduction of digital customer management system for our laboratory is somehow not a little tide to affect our business itself. Implantation of basic datum is not completed yet, let's make haste, because the system should be in full action on the beginning of next month.
To my surprise, neglect of the former accounting personnel has been cleared with tremendous losses beyond the point of no return.

C shape locking circlip must be released to remove drive shaft from differential gear box in NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz, left side connection is difficult because main bar frame exist on necessary position for hitting with hummer. Some special tool is required to hold undercut on DIJ inner portion. Or fulcrum lever action with an adequate tool might be invited for the purpose? Anyway genuine oil seal parts have arrived, replacement of them would be done very soon.
Newest VW Polo drove I few days ago, 1200cc model with Blue Motion system might be a sensational improvement for VW recently. But, no motivation was occurred by that model for replacement if I compare with my NCP10 Vitz.

Deeper consideration on the strange phenomena led me to some hypothesis that there have to be any tangential distortion on tire tread may be caused by the wheel it self or adaptation of tire on wheel, distorted tread causes lateral force when rotated, lower arm is forced to move axially and laterally, drive shaft inner part is forced to move inside and outside also axially, then the needle roller bearing is shaken with push-pull movement with causing click-clack strange noise.
As the replaced frontal tire tread changes physical property because of different rotational direction has changed the noise has disappeared, but the effective interval might not be long and the inconvenience would come out on the left side next time?

Creed

Proposing some exchange conditions in the field of constructive dialogue is not only correct but very impolite attitude on earth. Anyway, constructive axle geometry and wheel alignment are the issues to be verified immediately, otherwise I must drag the bad state of feeling from now.
First of all, frontal camber on both side must be set on standard value, 15 to 30 minutes of angle with driver's weight on the seat, then total toe 1mm would be attained. Remember, as shown 15 to 30, the value should be the same if there are some tolerance in the standard value. Because, the frontal camber value fixed in exactly the same would be a very important and indispensable key to establishing fine wheel alignment adjustment procedures.
Recently happens some mysterious phenomenon that not be explained logically?
It is said that some attempts in the mechanical field is interesting because it's hard to understand and requires some efforts, obtaining several know-hows on the way. Early birds fly away from the nest also this morning immediately after dawn. 

Good result on BC7

About 100km driving on the hi-way lust night has recovered the malfunction of MPT rear transfer system in BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model. Sticky clutch plate must be separated by some special method, switching on and off on activating solenoid valve, the circuit of oil pressure line cut off and on repeating while driving. Probably, MPT main plunger had to be force to move under oil high pressure circumstance. Additional wiring from 4WD system cut off fuse box in the engine room to the driving cabin was very effective for the repairing attempt this time. Now any sticking phenomena is not observed while garage parking phase, how come? Driving only at low speed is not always a favorable atmosphere for SUBARU Active Torque Split system. The planning to replace MPT parts would be postponed for the time being.
 

Problems

Strange click-clack sound from right drive shaft inner joint in NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz still remains after several measure attempt. Loosening and re-tightening of hub central bolt reduces for a while, but the phenomena rises up soon? Very beginning phase after cold starting does not make noise, but after 10 minutes later, the click clack noise starts. There exists first, any distortion might be in frontal hub itself, as a secondary problem, a heat isolating thin metal plate doesn't play enough for the purpose, that is intended to shut out the heat from exhaust header pipe? I would make efforts to measure for the long lasting problem.

Keeping the operating range of water stopping plunger is the key to re-obtain an originally designed function.

As for BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model, several trial to recover the malfunction on rear transfer system, MPT, so, replacement of multi plate parts is indispensable task no matter how the work is complected and tiresome. I must do that if I continue it. The number of the plates exist 4 and 5, 5 design is only for Turbo powerful model only, so Natural Aspiration model LSi would have 4 plates. The pressure control valve itself in combinations with MPT is very seldom to loose function, so the factory engineer said before, so the valve would not be replace at the same time.
Thanks to the establishment of wheel alignment, especially on thrust angle, the centricity of the automobile matches with that of driver, this kind of driving taste has never been experienced until the thrust was adjusted according to the frontal toe direction precisely.  This is why I do not want desert this 20 years old  SUBARU.

As an engineer alone today

I have spent almost today all day long maintaining working chairs in my laboratory, water supply control valves, three ways syringes and ultra sonic wave scaling device. Obstructed material in water gallery was crystal of  Calcium Hypochlorite as usual.
A malfunction of the plunger in control valve block was observed that was caused by the edge of sealing rubber sheet extruded by tightening pressure of it's assembled bolts. Removing an unnecessary part of the sealing material could solve the long lasted problem like a chronic disease.
I didn't forget to lubricate all the hinge pins with motor oil containing Microflon powder. Thanks to this kind of treatment, our machinery have been kept in good condition with no tendency of wear, free plays nor rattling. So, re-covering of the mounts spending over 500,000 yen for 4 working chairs   has re-born like new ones. Retrofitting of key components like solenoid valves and diaphragm pressure control valves for air and water made them reliable partner with us continuing 50 years longer from now, if my son might permit to do so. Some conceptional difference exist on our business because of that of generation and of perception of work itself. So, it is fluid like that he would come back to our laboratory here and continue our laboratory taking after me.
This kind of maintenance on holiday free time makes our general practice comfortable while working time. I make it a rule to maintain all the equipment to work in the best conditioned performance at any time.

Digitalization of our client records makes us so confused as to being exhausted these days, the way of perception should be replaced into new one that has been long lasted as long as 24 years interval. As we know, machinery and equipment for ordinal customer are so made to be broken after adequate use and are replaced into new products, this is better economic origins of industrial distribution. It's just interesting just against that, don't you think? Basically, I have nothing to be condemned, because my family is fully supported financially without any problem by me. Just I'm going my way that might be distorted a little considering another one's perceptions?

Long used lead car battery 75D23L in BC7 SUBARU Legacy LSi US model showed 12,4V when circuitry is opened meaning the amount of storage 25% of full capacitance, so additional charging was tried at 16,5V/2A, but the voltage came to 15,5V after connecting the charger. The result proved that reduction of capacitance with poor performance. As mentioned before, a car battery is not used only for starter activation but it plays great part of combustion performance of the motor at all, I have determined to replace it into spared one.
Of course some better performance was observed as usual. 4 years period of a lead car battery use might be a sign for replacing that?

Anyway, disassembling of rear case and MPT parts replacement are indispensable procedure to be done if I continue BC7. As the mother body of automatic transfer has no problem, no clutch slipping nor strange transmission timing is observed, I am able to regard that it is a worthy work for 150,000km used BC7. Because BC7 was produced in US ISUZU and SUBARU Automotive Indiana, some conflicting might be invited if I order the parts following after the trans-axle code number, this number doesn't exist in domestic reference code book. I hope good transaction on my request by SUBARU Customer Consultation Room in Tokyo. 

Miscellaneous thought

About digital archive

Stagnant stage for over 24 years must be broken if it has been relatively better after some period of time, otherwise this stable condition would last by continuous efforts with subconscious wish to keep the same and monotonous atmosphere. Early starting

Hub central fixation have to be reset again on Vitz, because some usual clatter noise is discerned while turning phase after 30 minutes later from starting every time. According to the opinion, tightening method is the reason? Any experimental trial must be done, how about thin alminum sim insertion intending the compensation of distortions in the construction?

Prolong machinery life

Any metal constructed moving part requires lubrication, so a key to prolong the life span of machinery is avoiding a critical situation, lack of lubrication. In another words, adequate lubrication for wear protection would continue old machinery in good innate condition, especially on hinge axis, ball and plane bearing, oscillating parts, any type of gears and sliding parts are effective. All the disassembled parts show some wear scar because of lack of adequate lubrication, if there were not any designing error on it. The age of mass production of disposable(?) consumption is finishing in some field since it has cleared the depletion of earth resources recently.
As a conclusion, I want to try to prolong any machinery I'm keeping now if I might be against the commercial distributions.   

i-Pad

Just I have returned home safe from Kyoto for Graving of Bon, starting early in the morning 6 o'clock it took me about 6 hours to visit 4 temples. A technical engineer as my relative in Uji, he had already obtained a new i-Mac system that is as same as my son's which was bought in Hawaii for a souvenir last time. The wheel alignment of SXE10 TOYOTA Altezza has been established with satisfactory, but I feel some dissatisfaction on steering centric stability counting the drive train F/R. The complete checking of constructive geometry and wheel alignment would be performed before long.

Teasing

The season of grave has come around again this year. Though I made up some planning to clean the tomb stones with blushing and cleanser, but according to some one's opinion, doing that would do harm leading to destruction of the construction of crystal structure and to shorten their lives, so I gave it up.
I would prepare 20 pieces of floral tributes from my villa garden this afternoon as usual.

Fine but hot also today

Additional charging was done with relatively short period of time, for about 6 hours at 16,5V/2A charging power.

As for XH200 OPEL B-Vectra, secondary additional battery charging was performed requiring much more period of time.  Now, I imagine the leakage of electric current while parking, after market clock part connected by my son is the most suspicious criminal, checking by disconnecting, it have to be done.
Dropping ceiling cloth makes me nervous until my limitation of endurance, so determined I to repair it at last today. Clear colored splay grue was used to do from the space made by partial removal of weather strips at upper portion of the left side doors F/R. Though the finish is not so fine as a professional's work, ugly dropped cloth was adhered in position.
Inadequate 2 liquid type clear urethane splaying last year needs additional attack again before the silver color material is lost.
Now my B-Vectra is prepared for using up to defeat, no releasing until the motor or trans-axle would run out of time.

Electric wiring and water tube arrangement and connection with motor driven pump have successfully finished for VW 1302 Super Beetle, as the last step, splay nozzle direction adjustment was performed with needle like pin device. The inner diameter of an original water hose and pump nipples were well fitted each other, just cutting the line on the way and the pump unit was inserted between them.

Electric wiring and tube connections are not yet, this indispensable arrangement would be done tomorrow, as for washer liquid tank, original one would be utilized with a small hole at the top of sealing cap.
According to my concept to keep this kind of an old automobile as one of a geriatric's hobby, try not to change anything as less as possible, the window washer system is one of a checking and inspection item.
I passed the first inspection last year connecting a used hand spray plastic bottle only for the purpose, this is the necessary modification for safety driving, remembering the past 40 years ago I had been a driver of Beetle 1,200 STD, it was a very seldom scenery to use window washer system?

I'm thinking over that it must be well done without leaving the root of evil. Organization of junk boxes of parts warehouse in villa and additional car battery charging on XH200 Opel B-Vectra are the tasks today.

Against distribution

Poor soldering technology by factory production engineer obliged me to spend precious off time this afternoon. Thank to this trifle failure, I could understand the principle of the designing concept. As I mentioned this before-noon, this kind of treatment might be against the commercial distribution?

As a matter of fact, clutch meeting became far easier than before doing like a professional taxi driver does. Opening service hole just near by chassis number is written, found I some ignorable backlash between between bush case rear vertical wall and shift rod compliance bush. 1mm thickness rectangular nylon piece inserted there clogged inconvenient space resulting good shift feeling.
Moderation and astringency have far improved like some modern automobile. Consequently, my VW 1302 Super Beetle has obtained lighter and easily controllable clutch pedal working and fine shifting taste today. My desperate efforts were rewarded.
Dragonfly that came to play with me by chance comforted my heart in severe conditioned work.

Dangerous 50m altitude flight!

We are afraid of the low altitude flight training that is going to be operating in all over Japan main land in future after the settlement of next money earning US military goods, Ospray. I cannot help imagining that such kind of US Force pilots and soldiers training should be done in Rockey Mountain with far smaller population in stead of Japan Main Land. Development of new products and business continuity are obligation as an usual manner even in US military industry as it is, why in Japan? Because of the similarity of land shapes with Afghanistan? Do you impose some risks to us because of occupation more than 60 years ago?
How does countermeasure this time, Minister of Foreign Affair that actually controls Japanese Diet?
Or you have been controlled by Red China financially, huge amount of US National Fund had been bought by an Asian biggest country? Who is the enemy for you, any threatening had disappeared already after the Cold War that continued for long time?

Macro Nikkor 105/3,5

Though a windy morning today, I shot some pictures at an usual place. Macro Nikkor 105/3,5 lens was used at f-8 iris closure. Old triplet designing as it is for close up purpose, no color correction is required keeping original datum, this is one of my memorials lens that has been used for more than 30 years including for my professional use, thousands of pictures were taken for silver salt transparency period. I also have a later model Macro Nikkor 105/2,8 at high price of 85,000 yen, I prefer old one to later model because of it's straightforward representation.
