Roppongi Hills
Original place was called as Roku-Roku because of Roppongi-Rokuchome, and Azabu Mokuzai-cho was occupied by dense wooden houses with narrow roads making some firefighting difficulty.
Consequently, the Authority designated for Urban Recurrence Plan in 1990 following the former planning by also Mori building Co, as Akasaka Ark Hills near by Roppongi.
The financial supports were performed by Mori Building Co. Roppongi Hills Financial Coop with 1,000 billion yen, by Development Bank of Japan with 700 billion yen and by Loans from private financial institutions with 1,000 billion yen.
Roppongi-Hills is a composite commercial facility situating at 6-chome Roppongi Minato-ku since April 2003.
It can be said that it is a completely artificial space designed with the latest equipment, considering the safety and security of extremely progressive and sophisticated human life.
The development was performed by Mori Building company employing with many designer's work by Corn Pedersen Fox Associates, Jon Jerde Partnership and Fumihiko Maki, taking for 17 years.
Many a famous builder in our country participated in the reconstruction, Ohbayashi, Kashima, Shimizu, Taisei, Takenaka, Kumagai, Toda, Fujita and Seibu were the applicants at that time.
