Appropriate tripod & lens

In spite of relatively long touring yesterday, 266 km distance, the harvest was very few at all. The information from Web sites about late cherry was not so reliable. The target places were Higasayama Park at Takasago-City and Kurai River Dam at Koto. Actual use of Tripod in windy condition proved that a poor, vulnerable and light one does not work at all, SLIK Master EV 3 for emergency use was barely available in the scenery. Consequently, I dragged out heavy Velbon SX-601 from my storage and prepared it with Leica free ball pan head, I wonder if it is available under SONY A-9 with 200 mm tele lens, once I used it with Leica M3 and Elmarit 135 mm? Though carbon fiber legged tripods are prevailing recently, tripod itself need some adequate weight to endure against wind blowing. The lighter the better for carrying, the stouter the better for fixing on the ground and contrally heavier the better for wind endurance. Then, how shall I choose an ideal Tripod? Minolta MD Zoom 75~200/4.5 was brought together and an inconvenience was observed in actual use, infinity position was not set adequately. Combined single ring for focusing and zooming lacked rotating movement for infinity position at wide angle slided condition. Naturally, over inf. setting was resulted at longest focus position. Relatively huge and heavier as this zoom lens is, takes good transparencies in stead, this is why this one is on the right.
