Today I had made up my mind to disassemble the front knuckles on NCP10 TOYOTA Vitz in order to replace hub bearings that have been making strange noise for a while. In spite of an anxiety of difficulty on removing inner half lace clogged on hub, layman's assistance cleared the hurdle. Finding out in fault hub bearing lubricant, silicon grease, had dried loosing it's capability. Replacing strut upper mounts on both side was performed at the same time together. Special dust sealing thin plastic sheet was applied in addition to the original sponge material. Invasion by dust and sand would be prevented to come from lower surface of opened strut bearing.
As the result, strange noise disappeared thoroughly and the stiffness and astringency on steering reaction have increased like a new automobile. Final precise wheel alignment adjust procedures would have postponed till coming Thursday.
