Minolta MD Zoom 100-300/5.6

Lightweight Tele-Zoom was obtained from Yahoo Auction at some reasonable price, clean and no fog was commented but it was a false. Foggy mist is often observed the surfaces between the iris among old lenses, this lens had the same tendency. Inconvenience condition was cleaned by disassembling rear lens module apart from the backside. No bad construction likely seen in most of MD Minolta such as one piece engineering plastic mold method for lens glass holding was not  invited even with MD Rokkor named, but a simple circle clip holding method points were found in 2 places in rear module, not my favor as it is but the function is enough to hold small & light weight glass pieces. Preliminary shooting test proved it's good potentials in sharpness and resolution, even with long focus length with 300mm, SONY Alpha7-Ⅲ body has enough potential to shoot with hand holding shooting. I cannot too much to appreciate to the technology by the engineers of SONY company. I owe them that I can enjoy my photographer's life like a dream it cannot be imagined before.
Focus length capability this zoom lens has between 100 to 300mm and my another jewelry Minolta zoom 35-105mm would cover all the focal length I need until I do not desire any more.

New comers, Minolta old lenses

Two silver salt period old lenses were obtained from Yahoo Auction yesterday, MD Rokkor 50mm/1,7 and Rokkor TC 135mm/4 at 10 yen and 1 yen promptly without  biggest hope. Because the front lens element case is not metal and screw holding construction but one piece engineering plastic molding method meaning no way to disassemble leading to thrown away to a trash. Though there exists some pieces of infested hyfae, they are within the tolerance of actual use enough leading to a conclusion of worth purchasing. As for a latter tele-photo lens, old more than 60 years as this lens had been manufactured, usable on this lens at all with applying lost small 2mm screws. So, my gambling this time with a smallest payment was successful in total. These new comers will be brought for today's shooting outside, reporting later.

Expo 70 commemorative park today

Expo 70 commemorative park at Suita Osaka, I visited there under the Scorching Sun today, the shooting object was Lotus flower in the Japanese Garden. 56 shots in a hour was enough to stay there in sever condition in need of help with fresh water avoiding heat-strike. Dropping in Farmer's Garden in Saito City for lunch, I found they regained the former bustle. Though I was exhausted today, I have no regret to have gone out, reasonable result was obtained. Because Konica Tele-Hexanon AR 200 mm/4.0 lens played a good part of the most of the scenery, I had determined well under good consideration last night. I have no complaint on the performance of this cute tele-photo lens.

Mino "Salunpowaku" yesterday

I visited "Salunpowaku" in Mino Northern Osaka for shooting photos yesterday. Very rare atmosphere was prepared there inviting original Mediterranean goods and materials so faithfully as to reproduce a village housing construction. The organizer of this photo meeting was a so sophisticated woman, professional photographer who looks like a photo model but actually a photographer. I was supplied by her some motivation to shoot well and good energy to continue the work. 116 shots in 117 were available to be made use of in some way. Applying good concentration in every shooting scenery made me exhausted at the ending, but with comfortable fatigue.

Saki-shima World Trading Center at Nanko

Though I had a planning to visit International Exhibition hall at Suita for Lotus flower shooting this morning, I changed the destination into International Trade Center at Saki-shima in Nanko. Strong wind was the reason in the Radio weather-forecast, but not so much at the new place. Unusual and strange devices and goods were there and I forgot the time passes with being crazy at all. Night scenery must be better from the High-Observatory commanding a fine view, so the next time would be after sunset, for sure!

Exotic atmospheric restaurant "Salon Powaku" in Mino at Northern Osaka

There is a famous restaurant named Salon Powaku in Mino at Northern Osaka situating just near by Hankyu Railway station Mino. The external designing and furniture there are fully copied precisely with the original construction of the Mediterranean village including fittings. Extraordinary atmosphere is above words. I don't know this kind of restaurant in Japan except here. I have visited this sophisticated place twice and I got several transparencies, still now I have some regret to have lost several shootings, so I'll come again next Sunday. Lensbaby MUSE double glass 50 mm would be carried with me on next opportunity to have fantasist shots like some fairy tale, as it's physical property, surrounding image quality would be reduced intentionally to use this irrational lens. I hope my decision would be to the point, BINGO! The result will be proved in a week.

Rainy days

Rainy days are lasting because linear rail zone is keep sitting on our main land these days. Utilizing free boring time, I made up two lenses for SONY Alpha 7, one is magnification lens for teardrop shooting and another is just a toy-like Lens Baby with no helicoid and ordinary iris adjusting system. The former one is consists of 75 mm/4.5 Fujinon-ES for enlarging and developing purpose. Former fabricated barrel and 82 mm extension tube reproduce 2.3 to 3.3 multiplies.
Latter one required to prepare adapter ring to fill the clearance because it had been done for DSLR A mount with mirror box distance. Both an E-mount body cap and an originally boxed A-mount lens rear cap could play good for the purpose to compensate 22.5 mm length though they lack 2 mm distance, it worked well for actual focusing procedure, even in that condition it focusing at 2 m point. With pushing and pulling actions it performs as a normal 50 mm standard lens on Full-size format. Newly fabricated 2 lenses would contribute to make myself satisfy for the time being.

Magnification shooting

As is often the case that I got a very special old lens from Yahoo Auction at only 1 yen, Fujinon ES 75mm/4.5, I determined to make use of it for close up shooting purpose. This lens does not have helicoid construction, the fact would prove naturally that determinate use only for developing procedure on Silver-Salt paper with an enlarging machinery in a dark room with some strong acid smell.
The obtained timing of this material meets well for "Tear Drop shooting"  set on the beginning of next month. Also, this kind of hobby work kills my boring free time conveniently at all.
75 mm focus length lens produces 1.3X to 2.1X with barrel length adjustment and 2.3X to 3.3X together with 82 mm extension tube promptly. Former fabricated 38 mm Hexanon reverse mounted lens does 3.3X to 5.5X reproductions. It goes without describing that in the actual shooting scenery fighting on the Tripod for precise focusing , very special experienced technology is required that differs from ordinary field shooting at all.
