Unfavorable condition on an old Minolta Auto Rokkor 55mm/f2.0 obliged me to apply some adequate maintenance so deeply, this item was obtained through Yahoo auction at lowest price. The image circle of this old lens is relatively broad as to accept 33*44 image sensor, this is why I dare proceed to complicated voyage. Resist to rotate helicoid ring is heavy unevenly because of lack of lubrication and there exists hystellesis between straight movement groove and guiding pin, also need rublication without argument. Consequently, the maintenance on this old Minolta was performed not only on optical construction but also on mechanical moving parts. As a matter of fact, the innate performance was regained like new after 50 years since it's production.
Remember, GFX 50mm/f1.7 lens is expensive with perfect performance, on the other hand, half a century old lens might be prefered AR 55mm/f2.0 and can be played for obtaining pics as if they were taken anciently.
