Minolta MD Zoom 75-150/4.0

I had the opportunity to use it yesterday, Minolta MD Zoom 75-150 / 4.0 which was highly evaluated in the reviews. It was produced for a short period, so relatively rare item in the field.

Among the Minolta zooms in the SLR Silver Salt film period, it is said to be the best result together with 100-200, which has not been redesigned for a long time until finish the production recently.

I was afraid that the low zoom ratio of 2x and the slightly telephoto start angle of view of 75mm would be difficult to use for garden photography and flower close-up shooting. Not suitable for these reasons, it was left unused for a long time, but a mount adapter with a helicoid extension mechanism made it possible close-up shots up to 1/3.

As a result, the bokeh can be reproduced, it can withstand actual use, and the excellent image quality is guaranteed even when close-up shooting flowers.

The low magnification of the zoom ratio probably prevents the deterioration of the image quality.

It's up to the smartphone to shoot a wide range, so even with a telephoto zoom, it's useful enough for my usage.

I decided to use this lovely Zoom lens for a while!
