MD Zoom 35~135/3.5~4.5 adjustment

Because I have been suffered from the inconvenience in Minolta MD Zoom 35~135/3.5~4.5 with under infinity setting for long time, I determined to reset the infinity position especially at the wide angle situation. Removing it rubber ring band from the focusing ring made it possible to loosen 3 fixing minus head screw. Though it is troublesome to know the infinity position at wide angled zoomed position to meet with infinity focal length position, EVF 9.4 times magnification performance of SONY A9 was so helpful to establish the adjustment. 

After the adjustment, the infinity position of 135mm zooming was over as a matter of fact. This is why it should be maned not as a zoom lens but as a shooting angle adjustable lens. Because the focusing point would be moved while angle adjustment. Zoom lens should keep and fix the focusing point while zooming actions.

Though MD has some wrong character to form a spindle shape distortion, but, color, resolution and sharpness character are superb.

I'll take it for shooting plum blossom tomorrow at Kyoto Kitano Tenmangu.
