Farewell to Caldina


I said goodbye to TOYOTA Caldina AZT241W 3 days ago, in spite of well maintaining by replacing necessary periodical replacing parts, 4 motor mounts, dynamo brush and magnetic switch in starter motor including expensive 4 plugs, tire replacement and precise wheel alignment setting. She could be continued 4 more years without any problem. The suspension construction of Caldina was not recent popular Torsion-Beam but Double-Wishbone, this is the most favorite point for me, also 2,000 cc natural aspiration with good power and motor braking effect.
Then, 36,000 km used 2,011 model Audi A3 Sportback is the next one in stead of Caldina. 1.4L Turbo charged direct intra-cylinder fuel injection with DSG trans-axle are it's character.
As I judged by see through eye checking method, there existed wheel alignment and axle construction discrepancies as a matter of fact.
Precise scaling utilizing LASER pointer level meter revealed them numerically, Rear total toe 33.5 min and Thrust angle plus 13.1 min angle value. They would be corrected tomorrow.
