Autumn season now

I came across with a rare scenery this morning, locusts, probably a couple. At the same time felt some loneliness, their lives would not last long, because change of seasons now reduces outside temperature gradually. I hope their duty would be established well for next generation. The Gene structure of them do differ very little from us, this might be why I feel some sympathy on them with nostalgic feeling.
About an inconvenience on Air-Cooled VW Beetle 1302, it is long lasting instability on steering stabilization.
Doubting the reason in steering linkage including the construction of the gear box, conventional worm gear.
I thought that it is caused by a fundamental phenomena by them, but I just scaled wheel bases R/L yesterday finding out 5mm discrepancy, right side shorter, the result met with a slight right side running habit.
Checking the bracket supporting on frontal suspension, front stabilizer also playing a part of tension rod, no apparent problem was found, next checked I the end of stabilizer end fixation that is passing through a lower arm with rubber bush!
Finding out the criminal there, considerable antero-posterior backlashes were there!
It causes inconvenient front & rear movement accompanying with caster angle, toe angle and changing of wheel bases length.
It is quite a reasonable reason that had been causing the unstable driving feel at all.
Though I have prepared new rubber bushes a stock, I would like to try to insert a piece of rubber sheets between the gaps as a experimental trial eliminating backlash.

Digital camera as an analyzer

Recently, DSL cameras has magnifying function prior to shooting on the back LCD. It is very helpful in focusing situations especially for geriatrics with poor eyesight. Also, it taught me how I did it appropriately. I feel shame to have talked about Lens resolution, contrast and sharpness, physical property of optical system.
Now I feel that focusing cannot be too much however precisely it might be done.
In addition, DSL including DSLR cameras could be  regarded as an optical inspection equipment if the datum are checked on PC condition.
On the other hand, pixel peeping habit is not always a good manner to evaluate transparencies, because human eyes has also the capability to resolve the object. The more distance from the object, the less resolution it has.
In other words, Botanical precise drawing is not always evaluated from a distance, however precisely it might be done, it is invisible from a distance.
Energy & Power of the object are the second to none.
A picture shows the modified lens, avoiding spherical abrasion reversely mounted for close up shooting, from old silver salt period toy camera, Konica Hexanon 38mm/2.8.
Exaggerated and expensive device is not always required for closeup shooting, an alternative cost only 300 yen.

A photograph evaluation

I happened to meet with the same opinion about photography in a Website.
The ratio photo evaluation is like that, object 70%, device 10%, sense & technique of the photographer 10% and luck 10%.
As for my opinion, the energy of object 90% and luck 10%.
The device at that would be anything, silver salt film with lens or sophisticated DSL camera will do.
The object with huge energy will come into or on the surface of image, no matter how poor it might be. Even subject blur and camera shake might be acceptable if the picture has enough energy to be appealed.
Suppose that, historical photography taken by Robert Capa in Normandy landing operation with intentional camera shake has enough energy to appeal the scenery of life or death.
Pictures of volcano, Rocket launching scenery and war attack has some different appealing big energy.
Also, I'm interested in so to speak "Decisive Moment" by Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Probably, this is why "Battle field cameraman" exists.

Autumn season is at hand

Though it is hotter in the daytime around 30 degree Celsius these days, the sign of Autumn is observed here and there.
Not a few people are planning travel this season, so every road is crowded especially on holidays. I make it a rule not to drive in such a inconvenient condition.
Aggressive drivers are increased in number immediately after Autumn road safety week, because police is active in that interval.
I drive my car at relatively low speed when starting after red signal stop, because the initial stage on starting consumes gasoline the most. Making sure not to push down accelerating pedal too much is the best way to compensate fuel consumption.
Professional track driver behind me might be invited some frustration at that time.
I'm prepared to apologize in case of trouble, "The driver is geriatric and my car too, sorry."
Actually, my car has enough potential to drive so vividly to lead traffic flow, but I try not to run so quickly.

Current situation

Long time for a month, September neglected I describe my blog here, because I considered about my publish in my professional field. Deeper thinking by myself led me not to go forward as a matter of fact. Denying the long lasting conventional theory means causing some sensation leading to involving many people who has something to do our profession into a big voltex?
Probably, the title would disappear in creating a national exam questions, though some period of time for several years would be required till common understanding among the professional field should be obtained. Then what will be changed? Big change would be regarded as a tiny story. So, I'm reclining to a direction, not to do that.

Aside a hard story, wanna I show my favorite modified old lens here.
Initial stage Elnst Leitz Elmar 50mm/3.5 Triplet is put on Canon EOS DSLR body. Infinity position is acquired and magnification to 1/2 close up is available. Of course, focusing and iris are set by manually.
The number of constructive lenses should be minimum to control 5 abrasions and reflectable lens surfaces should be the least.
Though recent sophisticated designed with computer calculation have superb performances with numbers of lenses including aspherical designs and high brightness, low dispersion, I don't accept them. However better abrasion correction might be done with complected design increasing the number of lenses inside, the light source arrived on the image sensor must be changed into some different one loosing an original energy of the object.
The less number of the constructive lens, the more powerful energy on the picture reflected, this is my concluded opinion.
