Extreme-pressure additive


The information about the necessity of lubrication in clutch bell for an automobile starter motor revealed that it should be applied on the contact surface between the clutch and the main drive shaft also in the construction of back torque limiter. In additional information tells about the extreme-pressure additive sometimes not being permissive.

Anyway starter motor must be unburdened and disassembled till the clutch bell should be removed from the construction and the lubrication procedure by splay chrome-molybdenum grease would be performed into the grooves of cam one way clutch promptly.
Mechanical metal slipping surfaces require some lubrication, otherwise wear and seizure are inevitable and the machinery would be a void.

Lack of lubrication between slipping surfaces causes wear and invites loose fitting in machine construction, this is said any machinery and device even on our automobile.
So far as the thin lubricating film may be maintained, the direct contact between slipping surfaces is avoided promising their longer sometimes unlimited life of important construction. Most of them around myself are over 20 years old already and still now in very healthy condition. Of course I had been making it a rule to apply lubricants on the necessary portions periodically.

The principle of resource conservation is not replacing into new ones repeatedly but continuing to use the same as long as possible.
