VW 1302 performance

VW 1302 Super Beetle has some room for me to participate in the taste of drive feel, point gap, ignition timing, carburettor setting and brake shoe adjustment are the seasoning as a cook.

8 brake shoe adjusters were rotated toward tightening direction and the point gap in the distributor was set at 0,40mm precisely with 7,5 degree BTDC was the regular value.
Valve clearance of 0,15mm on both in & out were performed few months ago.

Thanks to these indispensable adjustments, I could drive with pleasure today into Moshi in Hyogo Prefecture. 3 hours driving caused me of some sleepiness.

Computerized recent automobile does not have such kind of room for intervention, being reliable but not interesting.

While rising up some gradual slope in the mountain today, I heard some strange hitting noise from the rear drive shaft portion, the cause may be some drifting noise of ball bearing in the collar, DIJ or DOJ.

The horn was replace into repaired and terminal adjusted one again to obtain better performance, successfully finished.
