Old lens boom?

It seems that some images that intentionally imprint the flare ghost halo that occurs under backlight conditions using an old lens from the silver salt film era are popular.

It would be an idea to make use of the distortion and reflection of the image due to unexpected diffuse reflection happened in lens elements, as a part of artistic self-expression.

In the past, it was an interesting phenomenon even though the engineers in the field were desperately designing lenses in an attempt to eliminate at any rate.

In addition, the Bokeh that was unthinkable in the large format has come to be evaluated as a condition required for one of the lens performance.

Half a century ago, it was unimaginable and I was amazed at the situation that changed drastically with the advent of digital mirrorless cameras.

However, camera and lens manufacturers have to change direction according to the needs of the market, but when the current boom is over, they will not be seen.

Researching & Developing while reading market trends will be at the mercy of an unpredictable boom among the users and it will be difficult for the manufacturers to countermeasure.
