Anxiety on transplantation

The lens mechanical construction of Konica S3 old camera is exactly the same as that of big size format. Nostalgic memories came into my mind while I did disassembling and separating S3 model. Even this small bulk shutter, iris and slow governor including self timer are well designed and incorporated, shutter charging, cocking and releasing are operated perfectly. I highly appreciate the technology and the skill of the engineers at that time. The construction inside is the same as mechanical hand watch with highly sophisticated precision. Not a little abusing regretting was recommended in my mind to have destroyed this kind of Cultural Legacy, on the other hand, the most important part, lens could be survived now by my transplanting procedure and be re-lived again this digital format period.
I found out a important difference on helicoid thread inclination, that of S3 model has more lough thread than S2 model. It meas that less rotating angle create quick focusing method, it will oblige me to change my shooting rhythm at all.  I have an experience that Leica M-Summilux 50/1.4 is my most favorite one, second generation in black aluminum barrel, and later silver one with brass case with 39mm mount was sold for a short period. It has quick focusing helicoid, half angular rotation for infinity to 1m adjustment. The change of focusing procedure was not so good but not so bad for me, just not my taste.
I'm afraid that the same story might happen this time after finishing a transplantation.

Transplantation Hexanon 48/1.9 old lens

50 years old Hexanon 48mm/f1.9 was removed from a silver salt film period camera Konica S2 model successfully. Hexanon 49mm/f2 lens has been already transplanted on SONY E-mount few days ago and the concept at that time was smaller and lighter as possible. Following that all the unnecessary parts had been removed except iris control and helicoid mechanism, but the moving is not straight but rotating.
The performance of 49mm Gaussian 6 elemnt 4 group lens is enough to satisfy my requirement with surprise. It's potential is above words, probably it is level or exceeds same size Leitz M-Summicron 50mm/2.
Very cheap priced at 500 yen exhibition Konica S3 model in Yahoo Auction obliged me to try 2nd attempt, these are why I determined to proceed inter-plantation with similar lens.
This time I'll try to keep an original figure as much as possible, so shutter charging lever and lens shutter mechanism and outer case would be remained as it is, helicoid rotating angle would be increased for more close up shooting.
Original flange back 28mm depth, that of SONY E-mount 20mm and utilizing body cap thickness 7mm allows me relatively easy way on physical relations, it means the tolerance and adjusting area is remained 1mm.
As the first step has cleared, next is fixation of helicoid outer ring on body cap flange with establishing infinity lens module position. Much consideration would be required to hold straight moving helicoid holding guide pin construction? 

Criminal is at large

Everybody in this town is gentle, kind and warm, so written in red kanji letter on the squared pole. As an another story, a few years ago, the nest of Kumataka with a pair of egg inside was found out just on the way of new highway development and the construction was obliged to stop. But several days later, it disappeared suddenly in the morning thoroughly without any trace and the operation started immediately. No one knows who did it and no argument occurred. Truth is in the dark and the criminal is at large.

St Valentin chocolate as a present

I'm much surprised to have received St. Valentin chocolate as a friendship present. Beautiful printing technology on the metallic case and very accurate fitting between upper and lower fitting, it's like a piston & cylinder of combustion motor including pressing forming thin iron plate.
Also fine printing was processed on the small chocolate confectionary with excessive precision. Mirror surfaced mold for forming cat face figure surprised me without any trace of separation agent. I have recognized great and incredible improvement in confectionery manufacturing field.

3 yellows in jail

The coldest wave is coming today, in addition some different pandemic one might come together?
Suppose we are in opposite situation in miserable disaster, dwellers in PRC must be in severe circumstance at all. It's a matter for deploring, only warm love is the way to console them.
Even now, any effective method for countermeasure is not reported yet, how come?  I hope this critical condition would be overcome ASAP.

Lovely three yellows were observed through grateful iron gate, separating wall like this is really necessary?
No discrimination in the world, please! Because we are all the same exactly if colored skin and epithelium are pealed off.

New season begins

Today, 3rd, February is the starting day of Spring season in Japan according to Lunar calendar.
However cold outside temperature might be, sprouts have prepared for blooming already.
Something new may happen on me in future.

Colder day today

It was a bit cold in Tamba-Sasayama area today also occasionally snowy a little. So, I & my good friend went out for warming ourselves to Kunimine Spring Sukeshichi. Rare thatched roof was observed on the way, it is very seldom now because of it's difficulty in keeping & maintenance.
